    Exactly

the plies are all travelling around slightly different radii so the pieces need to be able to slide by each other as clamping pressure is applied

I would use R-11 or R-13 15” wide Unfaced / 8’ material to knock down sound on a budget. Grab a can of foam and seal every crack and penetration. Should be good to go.

    A thing or two...
Busy day today. I cut down half a dozen small trees and bundled them up to be hauled off. The two biggest were a pine and oak that were 4" and 6", respectively, across at the base.

    After:
    20200321_150803.jpg

Bundles and all the leaves that I've collected over the last few weeks.
    20200321_150813.jpg

Saved the bulk of the two biggest trees for firewood.
    20200321_150739.jpg

I cleaned up my chainsaw after I finished, flipped and deburred the bar, and sharpened the chain. Finally, I fixed my 4-stroke weedwhacker. I replaced the coil and line head.

I set up this shed a couple months ago after having the pad poured. I then added a solar panel and auto battery with LED lights to light it up.

With the stay in place orders I had time to do a few more things. I had since added two smaller sheds on either side. One for the backup generator.
Today I ran power to both sheds and installed the same lights with switches. I also added vents on both ends for the generator shed.

It was going to be a summer project, but I seem to have some time on my hands... and digging is free.

Working on some "lattice" panels to add to my privacy screen / arbour

The basic concept is that there will be horizontal only "lattice" in a frame that is the same size as the frames that house the crossreed glass I posted earlier

    The frames are made of 2" x 1 3/4" cedar rails , the horizontal laths are 9/16" x 1 1/2"

    Laths are 4" on centre

I have already cut the frames and cut the domino joints for the mitres of the frames

The laths will be attached to the side rails with 8mm Sipo dominoes

Today I cut all the joinery in the laths

As I currently only have the larger Festool domino machine , I needed to cut an approx 8mm spacer to raise the domino machine in order to cut the dominoes in the centre of the 9/16" rails

    Test fit 8mm x 30mm Sipo domino

All laths done , Dominopalooza lol

Test cutting a side rail dummy to make sure my layout and offsets all work before I cut all the mortises in the side rails

    Test fit dominoes

Test fit laths onto dominoes to confirm layout

Next weekend I hope to get these all finished up

Already planning to pick up the smaller Domino joiner as well for this type of work in the future

I don't think I could find a builder in Georgia to go to that detail in their work .... they would sub it out to a high end cabinet shop.

Haha. I assume you're talking about the pile of dirt behind the tree. It's just a load of dirt the previous owner picked up and never spread around.

I stubbed out my second bathroom for a tub a few years ago... I've been putting off buying the tub because I wasn't ready to remodel the master bathroom and it wasn't a necessity. Also, I'm not good at asking people for help and I thought I might need it (cast iron and all). Well, I ordered the tub, planned on taking a few days off and lining up some help and then... "novel" coronavirus!

My wife and I did manage to move the tub off my pickup and into the house ourselves. But I'm mocking up the plumbing and realize I need like a 1/2" more vertical-ness! Grrrrr....

The tub on the magical dolly...

The 2x4 is simulating floor level...DOH!
    20200323_b.jpg

The poorly planned stub-out! Waiting for some angle grinder, chiseling sadness...
