She won't get to full size for another year or so, don't worry I'll bring her so you 2 can meet next year

 

This isn't entirely true. Construction has been labeled as an "essential operation" and is up to each company. I work in commissioning data centers (for a book of faces) and we have been deemed extremely essential and have pretty much been told that we are to show up whether sick, dying or dead.

 

Next year? Did I miss something? Did the zombie apocalypse postpone it to 2021?

She needs to go through a few molts to get to full size; she's only 4" so she's still a baby

I'm actually not all that bothered by spiders, at least from a distance, lol. Black widows are satan's anus, and those need to die, usually because they like making webs on my lawnmower.

Mine has hissed before but that's when I tried getting her attention to feed her a worm.

Thing is, a meal worm is quick to bury themselves and I've got my Tarantula on about 7" of substrate.

If they get underground, I'd have to dig it up to get it out. Why bother doing that? Because the meal worm will shed and turn to a pupae. From there it'll idle until it becomes a beetle.

Problem with that is, if my tarantula decided to molt, that beetle can kill her since she'd be defenseless trying to crawl out of her old skin.

Have you seen those videos of a bumblebee giving someone a high 5? People are like "that's cute" but it's just a pissed off bee warning you.

 

Again, it's a site by site basis. If anything, we've actually upped production and have a mad scramble at the moment. The client has ramped up multiple sites around the globe and is digging in. It really depends on each employer and site. All I was getting at is that construction has been deemed (by the government) as an "essential activity". Any site/employer that chooses to stay open can/will give immunity to it's workers.
