Did this today. The driver’s side doesn’t sit all that flush on the top. Anyone have any suggestions?

Why would you recommend NEVER putting those in the rear bumper covers? I don't get it?? They look factory, light up the world at night in reverse, very cheap, and 0 maintenance....Just because you may have had "issues" with the install, doesn't mean they arent worth it. I still had the paper tag on my truck, and was one of the 1st things I did. I had NEVER even touched a 3rd gen bumper cover, but with Youtube, and patience, it was a fairly simple, and REDICULOUSLY profitable modification.

I make my own wire harnesses with 12 or 14 gauge wire, 3:1 adhesive lined heat shrink tubing, braided wire sleeve and weather pack connections. I have a SwitchPro so i dont need inline fuses or relays. I can probably help you/guide you if you need it.

I get a lot of compliments on mine and I love mine. I have mine wired into a switch pro so i can strobe mine when pulled over so they are like hazard's as well as reverse lights.

Mine was like that as well. I have an MGM Tacoma so i ran a very clean bead of black silicone around mine to fill in any small gaps and its clean looking. I used Painters tape to get the cleanest line.

It is a tedious and time consuming process to do. There was a point i wish i had done it differently, but i don't regret it nor would i not recommend it. Its a great MOD and well worth it. I have had these lights installed for almost 2 years with no issues at all. Just take your time and be sure you have the right tools. I recommend a dremel.

Just under $600 IIRC.. Aluminum with some massive frame tie-in plates

The quality was much more than expected and Ben does an amazing job.... I had them Powder Coated Locally, but believe Ben can do the same textured PC if needed. @Dissent86 can provide more information.

    Best,

    John~

I don’t know man. I just found the video on YouTube. I love the lights. Did them a few weeks ago and they’ve already helped a lot, especially hooking up the trailer at night. They were a bit of a pain in the ass, very tedious, I’ll admit that. But they’re very worth it. my butt did pucker a few times when cutting into the plastic caps haha.

Kings/Deavers/SPCs 35x10.5 Kendas, LRA FuelTank, WARN Zeon10s SDHQ mount, Switch Pro, LightForce rock lights, reverse light & Lightbar, Baja Design Squadron Pro fogs, CaliRaised Sliders, RLD Canopy, Odyssey group 31, Dometic CFX3-55IM
Been meaning to do this for a while and I finally got around to it. I used a LightForce ROK20 Ultra flood flush mount wired to my Switch Pro 9100. For those not familiar, LightForce has been huge in off road lighting primarily in Austrailia for well over 30 years and builds super nice stuff (my 30" lightbar and rock lights are also LightForce). I still may make an L bracket for the tow plugs to be relocated behind the bumper so I can use the OEM spot for a second reverse light on the left, however I'm on the fence on that as I like the asymmetrical look of just the one. Light output is good, I filmed a quick video after install that I will upload soon... On to the pics:

    Awaken sleeping thread!

I just got some DD flush mount stage series that have red backlights and I plan on mounting them in the same spots that OP used. Lots of good info floating around about this stuff and I can't wait to cut up my rear bumper, lol. Same as the front bumper was done ;)
