Building my camp set up on my 2018. I have a Prinsu rack with a RTT mounted over the bed.

I want to find (preferably slim) RED LEDs to mount on the sides of my roof rack to light my camp area. I want RED so it doesn't screw with my night vision.

    Anyone running something like this?

Thanks in advance everyone! Stay safe out there!

Basically... don’t do red. White/amber are okay and everyone runs those for a reason. You can get dimmer lights if you need to

Astronomy buff or advertising a campground red light district? ;)

That sounds like a great idea for campsite use at night, I would just look for red LED taillights online. They’re designed to be waterproof and bright, especially if they’re for boat trailers.

Try checking on Amazon. There is a good number of offerings for red LED from cheap junk to reasonable priced quality. You should be able to find something to fit your desired use for a price you can meet.

Unless you are running the red lights on road I doubt you will get into any problems with LEOs, though your areas laws and enforcement may differ from others.

One thing I have found about my BD lights is they are worth every penny OTHER than the SAE fogs. If I was confident that the Diode Dynamics SAE fogs would match the color of the BD lighting I would get a set of their fogs.

    Why not both?? ;)

I thought about tail light strips and such but didn't know how bright they would actually be. Guess I'll give them another look on second thought.
