So do you have some kind of pinned post that can give us an idea of when and how we’re allowed to respond to stupid shallow shit that your asshole self posts on this site?

Don’t get me wrong, I wish that I was blessed with the things that I have. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. I had to work for them.

 

I’m talking about how you used the phrase “solely on your shoulders.” So I gave examples where success or wealth or even a viable number of discretionary dollars are contingent on a lot of other things.

I don’t disagree that all the other stuff (hard work, moving for a job, going back to school) are important too, but my point is there are plenty of stories of shit luck — call them the “unblessed.” And there are a lot of those stories *right now.*

 

The “stories” you speak of are not the majority. & everything is contingent on a lot of other things. Everyone has had “shit luck” at some point. It’s all up to you & “solely on your shoulders” how you handle the adversity. It might be as simple as making different decisions; better decisions... Look, if you want a bumper, work hard to get that bumper. If shit gets in the way, overcome it. Don’t quit and/or make excuses. Being blessed isn’t a prerequisite for success.

In the past, folks have called Mr Tangent. For most all of the threads that I posted in, I have probably taken them off topic. I just thought you guys were getting pretty far into the weeds.

 

Again, i responded to someone attempting to correlate people’s ability to afford things with being blessed, which is comically ridiculous... Every response directed at me thereafter, I’m not sure of either... However, I will admit to my participation in derailing this thread. My apologies for that... Stay safe out there.

 

It's all good and I happen to agree with what you both were saying, but . . . Some peeps somehow fail upward. I'd never give a bad recommendation to a loser, just to get them off my team.

First off, we’re all past this. Try and keep up... Secondly, “gratitude” has nothing to do with anything that anyone said. We were talking about working hard to afford the things that we want. Where would “gratitude” possibly fit into that scenario? Grateful to who? Myself? For working hard to afford the things that i want? What?... It seems to me that your definition of “gratitude” differs from the actual definition of “gratitude”, which makes the most sense... Again, try and keep up. It also seems to me that you’re fairly slow in multiple areas. But keep at it. You’ll catch up eventually. I believe in you.
