I completely feel you. I used to driving to work and doing odd errands during work to get breaks. I love being home with the kids (last week was a rough adjustment for everyone) but it is different and work keeps getting pushed aside. Wife keeps trying to set up zoom calls with the other dads we hang out with, just not my style. I plan on taking some drives to clear my head from time to time. Shopping yesterday was more stressful than relaxing.

Glad I got my essential trampoline for the kids last week. :D

What otis24 said is the best thing to do. I work in construction and am constantly moving all day, so sitting at home can become depressing fast. I’ve been trying to jog/walk 3-4 miles a day. I put in my headphones with some old Howard stern show reruns and disconnect from the current state of the world. Since alcohol is not an option for me anymore it is my outlet from reality.

Much the same here. I'm a carpenter and my profession is part of the CA essential list. However, my boss decided to close the business for 2 weeks to mitigate his employees exposure. So, I'm stuck at home slowly going insane.

Today is rig day. I've got to pull a spindle and install a spare. Then swap out the LBJ on the other spindle. In normal times that would be a 2 hour job. I think I'll take at least 6 hours to do it. lol

I don't drink anymore either so finding a way to dumb down my brain has been interesting. Nioh 2 has been my go to for that. lol

Wouldn't mind being up there where you are. A little more remote is a good thing now. Much rather be remote instead of smack dab in the middle of suburbia.

This is a must, get out and take a walk/fresh air/sunlight every day. Other than that, its going to be interesting though which one of us family dudes cracks first from the stress of being cooped up with the wife 24x7... :goingcrazy: lol

I braved the 7 am que to possibly get some toilet paper. Down to 5 rolls. Now 5 could last a bit, but with the craziness out there I figured I'd give it a shot. I have a good supply of wet wipes so I'd be fine for a while. That, and even if I didn't get any TP, I needed some cocoa powder to bake a cake I wanted to try. Since we're stuck indoors, might as well practice some cooking and baking.

    safeway.jpg

When I got in I went straight to the paper isle. Got one of the last two of the 12 packs of TP, and one of the last two-packs of paper towels. Wasn't much left of any variety. There were a fair number of eggs left but that wont last. I took one 18 pack, but the woman in line in front of me had three 18 packs. It's possibly she was shopping for someone else, I suppose.

This was the only comic relief of the adventure. Blurry shot, sorry. In a locked case.

Lot of people wearing masks and nitrile gloves. Even saw an old man wearing a two filter respirator mask, and full face shield, as though he was going to do some grinding. Bummed, no picture of him. And me wearing shorts and a hooding. No other PPE for me. Got to the store and realized I left my shopping list on the kitchen counter. Fuq me. 20 items on the list and only forgot one thing.

I'm set for another month. Hope this shit ends soon.

    Hope this guy is correct.

I believe we only had 8 rolls of TP when this whole ordeal started. We've had a bidet in our master bathroom for a few years now, so we're probably down to ~7 rolls now. Sure, I've looked when I'm at the store (just checked our local market this morning when I was there for a few small things), but so far no TP in stock anywhere.
Not too worried though; Shit->Shower->Shave is still an option if needed.
    Stay strong!

Finally had good news today. Got the trucks last night at local market. There the employees are managing the goods and limiting them for those who want to hoard. Meat, eggs, tp, milk, coffee, and canned goods all regulated by staff. Kinda nice.

The Monday before the shelter-in-place order when we were at Safeway, saw a Columbine lookin MFer wearing an old army surplus rubber gas mask and a black full-length leather trench coat.

Put the Tundra to good use this morning hauling donated perishables from grocery store to the local food pantry for distribution to those in need. Hoping they'll have these runs daily. Demand is growing. Gives me something to do.
