Is it all luck if I already got two sets at this point, or is this due to the sheer amount of effort searching the web (and driving over 700 miles in one day) I put into this upgrade!?!?!

I'll gladly sell you my left over seats for what I paid if the first dibber from another thread does not want them!

Probably just straighten up the passenger side tracks and they should work, not sure if they sell the height adjustment rod for the driver seat or just weld it back together... I am just extra picky and strive for perfection in my own mind.

But you'd have to pay for shipping from So Cal.. may be scary, but worth it for those that know how rare these are and LOVE their truck! :spending:

Thanks for the pics. Yea I wouldn't pay more for custom ones than I would for just buying a pre-made set.

The short answer is we put it as high as possible to make room for a long enough shock to mount as vertical as possible.

There is a lot to consider when you reconfigure where your shocks mount. I had the good fortune of being able to pick the brains of many smart folks on this forum before even deciding which shock I wanted and how I expected them to perform. I owe many thanks to @turbodb @drr @Speedytech7 @Blackdawg @Squeaky Penguin for sharing their experience, knowledge and skill.:hattip:

Rather than me rewriting all the thinking and logic behind deciding where to locate the top mount, I suggest you review Dan's build thread. In particular, these three links in his build.

What made you decide on those particular shocks? Don't see too many people putting beefy bypasses like those in the rear unless they're doing some sort of LT setup.

Yesterday I broke quarantine and went out to my buddy's shop in Walnut Creek to get the last of my pile o'suspension stuff installed.

Yes, I know the Icon dust cover logo is upside down. Don't care either. Default spot to mount the reservoir with the included metal piece wouldn't work because of my CBI bumper so, for now, they are mounted up top. Will figure out another option later because I will not be wheeling anytime soon.

Have all 4 OME Nitrochargers available if @Kwikvette is still interested in trying them out. Otherwise I'll keep them as spares for when the Foxes need rebuilding some time down the road

Appreciate that, but I was only in need of the fronts before I bought my King front coilovers.

I've still been too busy to install my Icon and Kings.

    Love your setup, looks good!

How much height did that preload net you?

Sounds like you're working on it, but FYI - I've put my UCA into my fender well on hard bottom outs. I would bet you would take out that resi fitting if left like that.

I was curious about that. Looking at how tall that bolt is on a picture you posted. Thought for awhile it was just the SPCs that would do it for some reason.

I'd be just worried a small bump is going to put the front UCA arm into the the 90º fitting on the resit. I'd move that ASAP.

Maybe I should order up that supercharger today and get a couple years before needing to worry about this check up again!?

As others said, I highly highly recommend you move your reservoirs before doing anything that would articulate your suspension. I blew up both my resi's with them mounted like that, not cheap to replace/rebuild.

They're set at 2" and I'm waiting a couple of days for settling before pulling out the tape measure

Price and availability. That is always what drive purchases isn't it?

It was Matt at MCM that suggested these after we started talking about the advantage of adjusters. I went in considering 10" stroke rears that were as short as possible with welded rod ends, resis and compression adjusters. At the time the cost of these was fairly reasonable, at least to me. So I jumped in it.

There will definitely be a big learning curve. The bypass tubes do make them look beefy but they are still basically a 2.5" shock with the resi mounted on the shock body instead of at the end of a hose. The bypass tubes will allow quite a bit of tune-ability. It will be interesting and fun to try to get the most out of them.

I had mine mounted just like that, same type - Fox DSC 2.5 RR.
The mounts that come with it are sub-optimal.

With @drr assistance vision (I was in analysis paralysis), we modified the Fox mount to work on the underside of the frame.
We also slightly loosened the 90 degree and 45 degree fittings to shift the resi hose to slightly contour it to be out of the way of the UCA/tire.

I still want to move it as it sticks out like an A-10 Warthog 20MM gun but on both sides.

Gonna work with Ryan @ @AccuTune Offroad prior to 2 weeks in Baja in 2021.
