Just finished adding the essentials for wheeling, but I haven’t been able to get out. Are there any Orange County trails that are good to hit? Anybody want to meet for coffee and then go hit the trails as a group? Would be cool to make this a bimonthly thing!

An easy starter is Maple Springs truck trail from Silverado to the antenna farm on Santiago peak. It recently reopened. Nice views.

I did this a week ago, good easy trail.

You can drop down to corona on Bedford Canyon as well.

Although I’d expect the entrance to be closed from the rain this past week. Possibly open again sometime late this month.

OP, if you have Instagram, you can follow Tacogang_2k19. Bit cringey of a group, lots of younger HS Aged people, but they do go out frequently.

People like @brap_111 (myself) @pre_funner @carter.neimczyk are also local OC guys who go out and post runs on Instagram.

I have yet to explore OC trails. Haven't heard much about OC trails tbh. Where and how are they? I'm usually in Glamis, Johnson Valley, or Ocotillo.

There is really only one trail system in Cleveland National Forest and it is closed for at least 60% of the year due to either fire danger or wet weather. Especially since the Holy Jim fire a few years back. They are just easy fire roads really, but still a good little run.

Thanks for the info, not personally interested in dirt fire roads. Good to know, thanks again.

Are you guys finding any trails open? Everything I’m seeing says they’re closed.
