    Anyone trim the flaps on a third Gen?

    I know they are already shorter than the 2nd Gen trucks- but I liked how the trim looked on our 2005.

    30 seconds with a set of large garden sheers. Took off about 2 inches.

    Nice, I was looking at them for a natural seam an 2 inches looks about right. There looked alright with stick tires but I’ve put on new all terrains and they’ll stand out a bit more.

    In case anyone finds this thread..
    Trimmed all following the indent of the flap;

    Cut them with cutters

    Then went for a drive. I’m happy with the results.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
    Trimmed mine completely off. They’re as useful as the kale my wife wanted me to eat. Both went into the trash can.
