The top of my cylinders from today’s spark plug change. Pretty clean for 110,xxx miles I would say.
and my intercooler has very little oil on it, I would say running a catch can works

Okay so I got it all figured out and functional again..

There is a discrepancy between pin outs on the 2012 and 2015 Tacoma and there is also a discrepancy in pin outs for the Corolla at the Z1 spiral cable connector on the Tacomas and on the Z5 spiral cable connector on the Corolla and it took me a good while of digging in order to get it right. I had to switch AU3 and EAU around and also had to move the -DP over a few pins. Stupid.

I cannot use DISP, left, right, enter, and the back button because apparently the headunit does not support it (Pioneer) according to AXXESS tech support. Either that or the AWSC-1 does not support it, but the wheel now illuminates correctly and all other buttons work as they should.

If you brake it down its about $200 for the intake and $150 for the @Coupe cover which is additional add.

I have been considering changing out to a Stinger headunit. I may start shopping headunits again just to see what's out there.

The wiring for these aftermarket radios turns out being an absolute disgusting rats nest because of all the unnecessary wiring which stock had back there on the JBL models since everything was sent via CAN to the old amplifier. It pisses me off putting the headunit back in there.

How often do you change your oil. Also how much oil do you empty from the catch-can each oil change??

Every 5k. As far as the catch can; hard to say-I don’t wait until each oil change to empty it (although I could). But I empty it every couple gas fillups or so.

The wheels come with a differing variety of steering wheel controls. Some have less some have more. I believe I grabbed mine off a Sport model donor wheel and bought the actual sport wheel you see on my truck and @arcenik 's off of eBay.

Up and Running on the new SC rebuild, hub and 2.3 plus new 650s!! I’m guess it’s equivalent to say a 2.1 pulley with the NST kit. Definitely moves!! But now I have belt slip.

The blower sounds nice and new!!
@12TRDTacoma do you remember if there was much slack on a 69 inch belt with the stock tensioner?

We’ll do you decide to go with an Android HU they come with a can bus and it’s plug and play. You can ditch the AWSC

Question for the seasoned folks, if I install a quick change hub do I have to remove it later to cut the snout.

If you don’t put on a 2.7 or smaller.......you’ll have to take it off to trim the snout

What sort of slacker are you talking about? The 69 inch belt on a 2.3 is the equivalent to a 70.5 inch belt on a 3.0 pulley as far as slack and tension goes.

Do you have any further info you can pass along to me like links? You are making me curious now.

    This.

turns out dealer gave me one wrong gasket for the valve covers. discussed this over and the current ones are in great shape. what concerns are there if I reuse one? With the pending closures getting harder to get parts. I haven’t finished my over SC job bit close enough o could open it back up. Just doing a double take on using it or not.

If you are over 100K don't chance it. The work involved to do VCGs on a 2012+ Tacoma is a serious pain in the ass in comparison to a 2011 and under version.. add the blower on top of it and it just adds more time. Do it once, get it done and don't look back.
