Bbq experience definitely helped today. I wasn’t going to line up for toilet paper. Not good for social distancing. So I just contacted my local bbq butcher paper distributor and was able to order 80 rolls of toilet paper. Paid over the phone, pulled up to the warehouse and when I arrived there, they brought my box out

Now if I can only find a packer brisket. Went to Costco Last Sunday and they were out. Went to the local grocery store HEB and they were out also. We start our official shelter in order midnight. I was able to get a lot of ground beef so maybe I’ll grill some burgers

Cooked half the night and all day on the big pit and forgot the dam chicken.
Saved by the little pit. Me and Buzz whooped it out and wife happy she loves this chicken. Had that chicken marinading in a cross of Cuban Moho and Voodoo Cajun marinade For 24 hours.

Wow talk about shitting in high cotton, great score!

No packers around here however did find some flats today but not much else. Did get some chicken breasts which aren't my favorite but will do what I can with them probably soup. Placed an online order at the main grocery store in town and see what actually gets delivered Friday morning. First time ever done the delivery but like you not going to stand in line. Even going through the stores I tried to stay the hell away from people. Home Depot had X's 6 feet apart at the checkout lines to stand on. Haven't even tried Costco for a couple of weeks have heard it is a zoo.

Afraid it is not going to get better in the next week or even 2. Rumor has it that it is getting crazy out there... :p

I went to Costco here on Friday. Wasn’t too bad. Scored a full packer and a butt and some NY strip

Me ordered some groceries through instacart and i added a packer brisket to the list. Delivery for last Sunday. Then we get a text that orders were cancelled. I’m scheduled to go to work Friday so I’ll try another Costco trip and hope to see a packer or two :fingerscrossed:

At my age and medical situation I am worried about going to Costco and crowds in general this shit is real. Then again if I can get some shit paper and a decent ribeye roll..

Last Thursday went to the local butcher shop and got a butt and a ribeye roll at $5.99 a pound. But much of it is inedible and makes the dog happy LOL reminds me of why I stopped my SAM's club membership. Have quite a few capsteaks in the freezer yet too. On call this week and will see how things play out with my delivery on Friday if not happy will certainly be a trip to Costco and hope for the best. No comparison between the $16 a pound ribeye steaks at the butcher shop and Costco at much cheaper except for the packaged ribeyes. They are missing the tail. Because capsteak. But that is prime not choice ribeye rolls. :fingerscrossed: You may have talked me into it still need to choke down about 10 of those ribeyes yet. I just say no to NY strips because IME they are the same as the butcher shop steaks I got :anonymous: Usually...

EDIT: Forgot to make a derogatory remark about Project Mangers :p but seriously thank you.

Nothing wrong with that. This shit going around doesn't seem to be a joke, although some folks think so. Me and the wife will just hang out til it's over. Unless she kills me first. :annoyed:

Been thinking about you Curt, speaking of old farts...

Lucky I have 3 packages of Kirland disinfecting wipes before this hit 80 per package. I pull out a number of them before I go out in public and put them in 2 ziplock bags. One goes in the back under the topper and the other in the front seat. When I get out of the store I open the topper to put the goods in the back and wipe my hands with the bag in the back. Then carry that wipe to the front with me and use it to open the door handle. Once I get in I open the other pack and wipe down everything I may have touched and my hands again and throw them both in a plastic bag that I have in the passanger floor.

After bringing everything inside use disinfectant soap at the kitchen sink and put stuff away. Then wash my hands again.

    Be safe my friend.

All done. Shredded the point up cuz I’m a dumb dumb and don’t know how to separate point from flat. Also need some heat resistant gloves to go Under my nitrile gloves. Anyway, the point is damned tasty. Gonna go shower and then it’s time to eat dinner!
