All I've got to claim is getting older stuff. Can injure my shoulders or lower back easily. Messed up a shoulder shooting an air rifle all day. Stupid.

Wish I had some free time to do shit around the house like everyone else is. This half of the semester has my schedule pretty packed with work. Really starting to get pissed I can't find food that I can eat anywhere. If I could, I'd be very happy to sit my ass at home for this all and try to blow through my courses. Have a procedure on Wednesday, and I'll probably bebop around in my car if it's nice out that day for some fresh air as a birthday celebration. Lots of cops crawling around Blue Springs so watch me get pulled over and asked where I'm going :anonymous:
As it warms up, I might open up the garage and work on some stained glass projects.

Just feeling that general meh feeling everyone else is surely going through right now and will be for the coming months.

Pretty decent. I'm only going in to work for an hour MWF. The rest of the time is paid time off with no full time return date yet. Doing some projects I've been waiting to do for a while.

I'll stick to finger injuries that compare. I broke both of my thumbs at the same time. Both were splinted for a bit over a month. Basically made restrooms, eating, and everything else suck hard.

are your local dealers doing at-home test drives, they drop off a vehicle and you can drive it for 24 hours?
that is the current marketing strategy up north here

    Both? Jeez.
I'll add a thumb injury while we're at it I guess.
I'll leave it up to the imagination. 2mm deeper and I would've needed surgery. Lost a bath towel full of blood. The tendon is still a little screwy but it took 6 months before I could unbend my thumb. I knock @Slashaar 's driving sometimes, but lucky for me, he's a pretty damn good driver in icy conditions.

Idk man, I've broken 2 bones in my life and they both suck. I can't imagine breaking anything on my hands like that. I broke my sternum at some point a few years ago, don't ask me how I didn't know, but I get really bad chest pains tossing and in bed and random pain in my chest. My ribs dislocate a lot so I always thought they were just doing it in the front rather than in the back where they normally do. Started seeing a chiropractor in October and he was going over my xray and was like "you didn't disclose you had a broken sternum" and I was a little dumbfounded. He has no clue how I would've not known. It's a pretty bad break, and it healed kinda bulby which you can see from outside of my chest. My other break I was running and kicked a metal pole sticking out of some sand while barefoot and obliterated my pinkie toe. It doesn't bend, it rebreaks if I stub it really hard which has happened a couple of times the past few years. Got an xray of it last fall and found out all the joints are just kinda fused.
Cutting the thumb was one and done. I was a little hysterical on the way to the hospital but it was throbbing more than it hurt. Once it was sewn up we got some tacobell and I just had to spend the next 2 weeks trying not to snag the stitches on whatever bandaging I had on. Looked really gnarly though. I guess it would've been a much different story if the cut was any deeper though. That bulge of scar tissue is still kinda sensitive after over 3 years, but it's my left hand so it doesn't get in the way much.

I would avoid Dakars. I haven't heard good reviews. I don't have personal experience with them, but I have read issues with separation and binding because the second leaf is too long. People have had to cut it. You probably won't have this issue unless you are fully articulated, but just thought I would share. I know that Jacob hasn't had any issues though. I run the icon RXT pack which I am pretty happy with, but do feel a little bit of axle wrap at times. Plus, there is 3 different configurations you can work with all in one. Deaver is obviously good but expensive.

Don't underestimate chest bone injuries. I had three fractured ribs from playing rugby and among my myriad serious injuries it is the one that was the second most crippling, the most painful and lasted the longest.

Talking about all of this makes every single one of my previous injuries ache a bit...

i am curious if anybody knows what a realistic estimate time to remove 1st gen taco bed?
so far i am working with 2 approximations, one indie mechanic said about 3 hours, the dealer said probably 8 off the top of his head without further looking into whatever book they use to figure that stuff out. He recommended me to goto a body shop because their labor is most likely less per hour
3 hours just seems like a lot of time if you have the proper equipment and setUp but what do i know :(

:notsure: it does need some minor fixing in the wheel wells to put a stop to the normal panel rot where the liners and moldings attach but would probably be a simple DIY in the back yard once the bed is flipped upside down but idk

Pretty sure when they took mine off it was 3-4 hours.
