    Hmmm, so this doesn't work with .22 rimfire. My nephew started competition shooting in a league. I thought that might be something to look into for him to practice with..

    If you could find a laser device similar to this (discontinued) or find one used it would work, the software is just looking for a momentary laser dot so you could (theoretically) 3D print a “handgun” container for a laser pointer and make the trigger momentarily activate the pointer and it would work.
