Now you need to build a hydraulic mount to attach it to your tractor maybe like a sickle bar to raise and lower .

Though the tractors speed might be way to fast.

Would be awesome if the Stihl had the power for it. It is a finesse of angle, engine speed, and pressure to keep it spinning that would be impossible from the seat.

I have kicked around building a hydraulic tree snipper to attach to the bucket though. Keeping my eyes peeled on FB Marketplace for a cheap 3" cylinder and used dozer scrape blade edge.

First used one back in 1978 at Penn State. Forestry major taking a prescribed fire class. Groups of 4 students each had a 2 1/2 acre clearcut (in the Barrens - if anyone of you knows where they are) to burn. Had to create a 3-4' clear fire line around each cut before burning it. Regular circular saw blade - aggressive cut - on a straight shaft weed eater. Only safety equipment might have been goggles. All students got to use the tool, no issues what so ever. Cut up to 6" trees at ground level. This was a GREAT class.....burn, baby, BURN!!!

They mean fo' sho'. Saves my knees as well as I don't squat well after having knee surgery a few months ago. I can cut stumps 1" above ground as well. Hard to do with my chainsaw.

What's crazy about this thing is being able to literally drop it thru 3" limbs with no pressure. Yesterday I cleared some areas of vines, saplings, and tree limbs I haven't been thru in years just waving it around. Frikken lightsaber.

This thing is great, not sure what has people freaked about safety with it.

Plenty of folks on here have never run machinery in their lives. It must be scary to them. They would shit their pants watching what we used to do in semi-trailer wreck rebuild shops I worked in.

When I posted this on my tractor forum I didn't get any of that. All men who know how to control their equipment.

A little more renegade action so you can get a feel for its capabilities.

Went deliberately slow on the thick stuff as it binds in that position and to ensure I didn't hit the dirt.

This is the blade we use at work, will cut anything up to a little bigger than the blade itself. Not sure if you can find blades like it for yours

They are about 7 ft and are hydraulic. Different but similar, not sure if they make blades for other tools

Your Stihl setup has a safety guard on the blade. I thought that was just for internet wusses.

Is this OSHA approved for lawn care companies?

He's got a mask, gloves, and steel toed boots. With all that PPE, he should be good to go IMO.

Holly hell! I was thinking of tracing plasma cutting some of this and sharpening them but after seeing that op video I think I'm gonna go that route. Theres a Los a wire wheel attachment that I might end up getting. Living on an acre in Texas sucks in the summer time.

Check the vid in post 72 as well. Couple guys on my tractor forum picked up the blue blade as well and concurred it is the meanest blade available. I pick them up on ebay for $15.50. Cheaper the more you buy.
