I don't really notice it, but I see what you are saying. So far asteticly for me I have no issues. I been running them for a few days now. I still need to adjust the beams.. at the moment they are seating low.

One thing is bothering me a bit is that I get some static with my DRL on when I'm using the radio. I emailed Retrofit Source and this is what they said:

"Travis M (The Retrofit Source)

I have reported this issue to the manufacturer, but as of yet there has not been a fix produced.

I suspect that it will eventually manifest as a set of LED driver replacements, but I don't have any definitive information available yet."

 

First thing Monday morning was 12hrs ago bud and still nothing.. Not even the decency to login and give some sort of update. Even if it's a lie to get by. Good job, see your future here is about to get or wait...this isn't your first ban from a forum

 

Anybody have this happen yet? And yes I checked all connections before asking this question.
EDIT: it started with the outside one and now both.

 

After about 3 weeks I had one of the low beams start intermittently going out on the passenger side before it finally stopped coming on altogether. Got it replaced through TRS under warranty (I bought directly through them originally). I paid for the advance replacement and then they refunded me when I sent back the defective one. It took longer than I had hoped and required several calls/emails to keep the process moving but in the end I'm happy how it turned out. Seemed like they had a pretty good idea what the problem was when I contacted them so it's probably happened to a few of them.

 

Ok thanks for the info, I'll get started on them on Monday, I also got my through TRS. My only gripe is that whole bumper and winch has to be removed to get the light in and out.

 

Agreed, it's a bit of a pain the way the headlights need the bumper off to swap. I guess I'm glad I didn't have a steel bumper on at the time. If it seems like they forgot about you after a week or so I'd recommend calling again. There may have been some turnover at the time but it seemed like I was being different answers every time I checked back.

 

I'll go about it the way I do most other things I want to get done. Like an ol dog with a bone, just worry it to death. Thanks.

Well mods either gave him a temporary or permanent ban. I haven't heard the details yet. He dang sure hasn't responded to me. I was hoping putting some heat from the mods would break him. I guess he would rather not pay back a few outstanding refunds and continue his business on TW.

Don't buy anything from The Retrofit Source at all. Buyers beware

Yes, it's Retrofit Wholesale - eledobleu who is scamming people by not giving them headlights or their money back. I and a few others here on this group buy have lost almost $1200.
