    Says the princess who requires:
"working transmission" and a truck that won't randomly cut off because of the fuel pump.

JEEZ talk about needing special comforts!!!:boink::boink:

Just switching from a 3rd gen to a 1st gen, its amazing how much simpler the truck is to work on and take apart. Everything is so much better. I have power windows in mine and stuff, but it's a base model and the first few I tried to buy were manual everything, but got sold too fast.

I think we will eventually see a push back to super simple vehicles, the only problem is the modern safety requirements....

Gotta buy the sweet 90's and 2000's cars we grew up with now while some good ones are still around for not too much.:spending:

I use my heated seats almost every time I'm in the vehicle but compared to you I'm an old man. And I've got back problems. I LOVE those heated seats.

The worst vehicle "upgrade" I ever did was one of those pleather/vinyl car bras on my Volkswagon Jetta. Took it off a year later and the clear coat was completely gone in just that area. What a terrible idea that does the polar opposite of what they sell it for. Oh, and on motorcycles, those shock covers/boots... they should be called "shock shaft rust creators".

My first Ebay purchase ever. Being an OEM part it fit quite well, but I only ran it for about a year before I changed things up. I scraped off the windshield decal and the car ended up a whole lot cooler at the end.

i had a 1999 4runner for a few months and i loved how simple and easy it was. it was like a perfect square, super easy to drive, and despite how old and shitty it was people would come up and be like "i love those cars"

Safest I've felt on the roads down in rhode island. I'm used to constantly needing to jam my brakes or dodge people cutting over. For the past week or so, it's been like driving back in Maine or NH.

I could get used to this life. I already workout in my garage so no changes there. Only thing that would need to change is availability of TP.

The only thing I'm really not liking about this is now it's just a constant barrage of e-mails. People will also say a lot more over e-mail than they would in person so there's a LOT more bullshit to deal with. The weekly in person meetings we have on site seemed to keep everyone's internet muscles in check. Now that the threat of having to face people is gone, the asshat e-mails are in high supply.

We've been having to turn on video for all our meetings so it's still 'face to face' and that seems to have prevented the internet muscles from flexing too hard so far.

Same here. I'm also set up in our dining room. People I work with don't need to see the inside of my house, I have the damn camera taped over anyways.

Definitely been an adjustment. I can get away with not showering if I have an early call.
I've just been working from the couch and everyone I get on a call with comments on it. But whatever, it's comfortable and I can get everything done with just the laptop screen. Some people have been posting pictures of the sit/stand desks and monitors and docking stations they've bought for this. It's only temporary though so I'm definitely not spending any money on an at home setup since we can't work from home normally.

i'm wondering how many companies will adapt and allow more telecommuting after this

i work from home anyway so i was already set up, but they're doing every other day skype meetings lately to keep everyone informed

I was wondering the same. I've been more productive than in the office and I think others are too. I'm hoping my company recognizes it and relaxes their policy on it in the future but we'll see. We changed from Skype to Microsoft Teams last week and it's been so much better

I have three monitors and a dock in my office at work, but never had anything beyond a laptop at home because I typically didn't need to do anything significant there. A few months ago, I saw Lenovo had some 22" monitors going for $60 each and the dock for my home laptop for $20. I am glad I bought them now--having two monitors has been very helpful for the past couple weeks. It'd be pretty annoying if I were restricted to just my 14" laptop screen. The monitors themselves aren't great--a little washed out and viewing angles could be a lot better--but for working from home they're plenty.
