What is AT in Reset AT?

Also confused about the 2.0 Beta for 2020....is there GearLock in S mode for the 2.0 Beta? Or is it S Mode + ECT? Just flashed it and drove for 15~20 mins. Couldn't tell what each of these combo was doing. I know it's been discussed but with so many updates, it's really confusing.

    D+ECT

Flashed the 2019 Premium AT 2.0 beta yesterday. Shifting is better, but WOT is sluggish at takeoff. I have a Borla Muffler and a K&N CAI. Not sure if this is affecting the tune or not. Running 93 octane fuel. Any suggestions?

He’s working out some last min kinks with the AT 2019s. It should be out soon.

I've Had the latest 2019 beta (prem) for a few days now. Certainly seems smoother all around but I also get that sluggish feeling others mentioned, especially in 1st. Does not seem nearly 'reactive' as normal beta but I guess I need to get used to it (or get the SFOB perf soon! :))

Hey everyone. With all the craziness going around with this COVID stuff, there are some changes we are making, at an accelerated rate.
we had originally planned to *eventually* switch over to our editing software and become a tool provider, with tune support / examples / tuning tutorials.
Due to current world events, my kids being home for the rest of the year, and a sharp decline in sales, we are making this change sooner than anticipated.
Not only will this allow us to better assist everyone, but we can open the tuning "box" to the community and allow even more refined community driven development.

First question everyone is going to ask. "does this affect 2.0 release? will we still get it?" No it does not, yes you will still get it.

    What does this mean?
It means this. Here is our Tacoma flash kit, and this is the last opportunity to get it, before we make the switch to supporting everything only through vF tuner.
Once we are out of stock on flash kits, it will no longer be available, in this form.
    Tacoma 3.5L Flash kit, $499
    https://www.ovtuned.com/collections/ovtune-products/products/toyota-tacoma-2grfks-calibration
EDIT on supply, actually only 15 left

What does this mean for the future?
    1. After 2.0 releases we will not be making more tunes (as a continual tune update process). But this is not new, we announced that when we were working on 2.0
    2. We will focus on supporting Tacomas, and other Toyotas, through our software tool.
    3. Our software tool will come with "example" tunes, that can be used as is, or adjusted from that point into a custom tune.
    4. We will have instructional videos, references, and information about how to safely use our software for your truck.
    5. Tacoma support will not end, as I said, I still expect to tune this truck over the next 5-10 years. But rather than just offering tunes, we will use our truck to develop features for our software that you can use, share, create from.
    6. Everything boost related will still happen. The only change being that boost example tunes will be available for free, with our vF Tuner software. Which you can use, edit, and create from
    7. Tunes that are on Flash manager will be available in vF tuner as Example tunes, that can be used or referenced from. (Not all tunes will be though, older stuff like 1.03,1.05, etc won't).
    8. vF Tuner is a tuning software, that lets you take control. You are not buying tunes, you are buying a tool. Example files are provided with the tool.
    9. Will Flash Manager still be available? Absolutely.
    10. What if we have a flash kit and want vF Tuner? You already have the flash license and the cable. If you'd like a license for the vF Tuner editor, you will be able to buy it for 60% off ($79)
    11. Will OVTune continue making tunes? No we will not (after 2.0). Instead we will focus on developing of Example tunes, features, and other useful options through our software.
    12. I don't understand, if I buy vF Tuner.. do I get a tune? Not exactly. You get the tool to allow you to tune the truck yourself, and you get example tunes which you can use, modify, create from.
    13. What are these example tunes? They are versions of tunes we have already released to the tacoma community for the 3.5L.
    14. How is this better for us(tacoma owners)? One of the biggest advantages right away is that when we develop a new features, or new option, it will be available right away in the next software update. Which gives immediate access for all ECUs. No more delays based on user feedback, tip in "likeness", or other things of that natures. The feature becomes immediately available, and you adjust it the way you want.
    15. What if we have a handheld? Accessory version or OFT? We will still be providing the files from 2.0 for handhelds. OFT versions will also get access to a version of vF Tuner that works with those handhelds. So nothing really changes there.
    16. Will we be selling more handhelds in the future? Very unlikely. The company that creates them is in Italy, which is really bad right now with COVID19, and to top that off, the parts they relied on came out of areas in asia that got hit even worse.
    17. Will we will be sellling more flash kits after this? No. If you want an option for tuning or modifying your truck, you will need to purchase vF Tuner, and either setup a tune from an example file, take it to a dyno tuner, or download a tune from the community (which I fully expect you guys will be making your own tunes in no time. 4.0 guys are doing it!!)
    18. What about dump tubes? Nothing changes with these. We will still provide our catted dumps.
    19. Can I buy vF Tuner right now? Not yet.
    20. What if I bought my Flash kit not long ago, why is it so cheap now? Unfortunately, I don't control the world, or world events. The price change reflects current market situation and future outlook and the fact that they won't be available again after this.
    21. So we are screwed? OVTune is leaving us? .....I have a feeling people will think or ask this. Answer: No!
    22. What if we have a dongle version kit? Nothing changes, although if you want vF Tuner you will need to use vF Tuners flash software. It is not compatible with dongle software.
    23. This seems new, drastic.. what? Actually we have been talking about this for the last several months, and we have been working on this software since 2017. We are just making this change earlier than we expected.

If you guys have ANY questions please let me know.
Do not be alarmed. Don't freak out. This transition was already planned to happen and we have been talking about it here and there over the last 6-8?+ months. We are just making this transition at a different time than we expected to.

Big news! This is cool. Being able to share tunes is a different idea.

I forgot to add something :
    1. Can we share tunes and share it with trucks? Yes. When you buy vF Tuner, you unlock the ID, which means you can permanently tune this specific ID. You can flash as many trucks as you want that have that same ECU ID. So if you have a 2016 with 04B03, you can flash ANY truck with 04B03. Share it with your friends!

What if I want to unlock more IDs?
Each ID costs 4 ID credits ($75) which then gives you permanent access to it.

Question for someone who has used a 87 and 91 tune.

From everything I have read a 91 tune has a considerable increase in power / performance.
Aside from that, my question is between the two tunes what mpg were you getting?

@OVTune - I am expecting that the 2.0 release will be all I need for updates. Can you offer some bullet points on what kinds of 'features' we might be able to add to our OVTune of choice with the VFTuner purchase? I mean it's not expensive but if I'd love to read more in the future on the ideas you might bring forth for updates (safe harbor of course).
