I've been reading constantly here for the last couple days. Thanks for all the great information! Saturday I pick up my 2011 Double Cab Long bed in Magnetic Gray Metallic and I love it! I've had a '90 and a '94 and missed them the day I sold them.

I've got a shell on the way and am planning on building a light duty expedition vehicle. I own a bike shop in northern Utah and am excited about getting to ride some trails that I couldn't get to in my last car. As for cosmetics I'm planning on having the chrome painted, I haven't decided whether MGM or Black yet but I'm going to paint the emblems black for sure. Also some all black wheels.

I've searched and searched with no success so unfortunately my first post is probably a newb question. First, I want to get some new wheels for it and second possibly tires. I just talked to the local Discount tire and he said the stock 245/75 r16 tires might be too narrow for the 16 x 8, 4.5" back spacing and 0mm offset wheels I'm planning on getting, is that true?

The second question is if I get new tires as well with the wider wheels and offset (should push it out about 43mm) can I still fit a 265/75 16 without rubbing or should I stick with a 265/70 16. I do not want to add any suspension lift or leveling as I did that in a FJ Cruiser that I owned and it ruined it on the highway and highway miles are just as important as off road to me.

Well I did some more searching and decided to go with it. Hankook 265/70 R17's on KMC Enduros. I'm getting a bit of rub while braking and turning but I think I can dremel a bit of the mud flap off and have it work. If not I'll get some 5100's and just give it just a bit of front leveling.

That looks great! I'm was pretty much planning on leaving the bumper and grill to the experts.

Love the Metallic grey color, wish they had it in 07 when I got my truck.
