I wasn't sure where I stood on essential or not, but was told today since our company is a supplier and contractor to the forestry industry, we're considered essential and fall under the food and agriculture section of the critical infrastructure. Either way they said I can take the time off, or work and to avoid stopping between work and home unless necessary. So far no one at my work has shown signs and hopefully it stays that way. There's only about 7 or 8 of us total in the company.

 

Good that they still went ahead with the surgery, I'd heard reports of other people having surgeries postponed as it could lead to them becoming infected with covid-19.

Cops are equally short on PPE. Every detention exposes another first responder or two to potential covid and then the people they contact next and so on. They largely aren't doing any traffic stops up here.

Jails for the most part aren't taking any non violent offenders. Most cases are being referred for consideration of charges AFTER covid is done because the right to speedy trial can't be guaranteed right now.

Closing down the parks and parking lots should help as well as educating the knuckleheads.

My company, specifically my division, is critical to FEMA so we can's shut down.

Trucks break down, truck needs part(s), truck goes to truck dealership/repair spot/roadside repair, truck dealership needs parts, my division supplies parts.
