No final vote on the relief bill yet, and this run up may still be all on hopes . Like said before , $1200 is not going to save all workers from missing payments etc. Even if they do vote it in , companies that take a loan cannot pay divs so a lot of funds cannot own them so the funds will have to sell driving stock prices down .( This is why GE still pays 1 cent ) We are no where peak infections and have no cure . Normal life will not be back next week and the norm for life may be different for ever . They have said the markets look 6 months ahead so who knows . I believe we are closer to the end than the beginning but still think we should be careful or ignore it all if you are young .
Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered , and the hog in me is sorry for selling some fun moneys yesterday , but the lack of being a hog is happy with some pretty good gains but more on that later .
This reminds me so much of a bill that had the famous quote from someone I will not name , "Must be Passed to ‘Find Out What Is in It"
I do believe that this is all a blip and will be just a memory in a few years ! But I also believe the next few months is an opportunity to profit that only comes up every 10 to 30 years or more .
Also and most important is that trading stocks and not watching the markets is weather related for me , it is predicted to be over 80 degrees here tomorrow and my grass needs cutting , and I need to get a boat on the water because spawn !

If it ever came down to a time that you need gold and silver, lead and brass are going to be worth a lot more.

Sad but if the number is on the low side of 2.5 Million the market will most likely keep rallying . Details of the relief package are key in my opinion .
Edit ! I just got an email from Autozone that they have curbside pickup !!! Is that a change of things or what !

Despite all the foaming, guns and ammo are tools and nothing more. I never once felt compelled to tell anyone about my new ball peen hammer. IMO the ones that talk a good game about guns will be the first ones to fall apart like a wet cardboard box when the shit hits the fan.

Just remember unemployment numbers come out tomorrow...m

Not smart to compare this to 2008, out side of a meteor hitting the earth, this is one of those worst case economic scenarios.

I expect the market to rally (partial sarcasm) or it could waffle

People are putting their greedy head in the sand thinking this will be a tiny bump in the road. Hope I'm wrong here!!

I think the markets going to suck for a few quarters with earnings and unemployment numbers coming out, and until those stabilize it will be a rough ride.

It depends on the scenario. If you have hyperinflation ala Venezuela or Argentina, precious metals could be useful to help preserve your purchasing power. Or buy a ticket to somewhere safer. That said, my physical silver has been one of the worst investments I've ever made, down 30% or something, no dividends, but it's shiny and makes a nice clink.

Not enough to make me invest money that I shouldn't be investing. Another 10% drop, I'll probably end up doing it.

What scares me about BA is:

The current state of the airlines

The Max fiasco that shows no signs of wrapping up. I wonder what the civil liability on that is going to end up being. The deaths, hull losses, lost orders and loss of use.
