Next pure "terrain" guess is the Taylor/ Pearl Pass region.

 

I found the road in Google Earth... just need to figure out what it's called. LOL

You were right on the Pearl Pass region. I was tackling the challenge on the two 14ers angle (since the terrain was unfamiliar to me)... which were Conundrum and Castle.

I'm still not sure you own a Tacoma But I have wheeled behind your dam Land Rover and quickly figured out I need to choose my own fricken lines.

 

LOL. I'll never appear in the spotted thread since it's not lifted, weighed down with a rack, RTT, steel bumpers, etc. I have enough to do some light wheeling (sliders, skids, steelies with ATs), but it doesn't stand out.

 

I didn't have sliders on my truck until after 5 years into owning it. I still don't have anything else (skids, bumpers, light bars, etc).

Sadly, the sliders were added after getting a nasty door ding in a parking lot... and to add some protection offroading Have only scrapped them once, as I try to keep it mild.

 

I didn't ding my body off-roading or in the parking lots before the sliders. Now that I do, I make sure I wheel hard at the grocery stores (park in the smallest spots available) to see if people will ding their doors

 

Hint time, I am trying to embarrass myself less now.

 

While it may look like any hill, this is considered by most as the most difficult portion of this road/trail. So much so that some do not make it past, some have broken while trying, and one (or two, IIRC) illegal bypasses emerged to avoid this tough section of hill. This hill sits in the most challenging portion of this road/trail, which is no longer legal for motor vehicle use per a 2016 order. However, (at last word that I have) there is no gate or other physical obstruction preventing vehicles to reach the end atop a peak which shares the same name as the road/trail.

If this doesn't help, I'll start hinting at the area.

 

The trailhead can been accessed off Hwy 285 somewhere between Conifer and Jefferson.
