    Hey everyone,

I have a 2019 SR5 and installed the grille raptor lights on my truck that has a ata fuse on it. I currently have it plugged in my INJ fuse but every once in awhile my grille lights are still on when my truck is off, and i'm trying to figure out why it still stays on. Any help will be appreicated.

    Thank you,

How long do they stay on?

I have the exact same situation. Wired my raptor lights to the INJ fuse a year ago and people are frequently telling me "your orange lights are on". No idea why the injectors get intermittent power when truck is off, I'd love to see if anyone knows as well. No problems caused so far but I dont love the situation.

Have you guys just tried to use a different fuse? That would be my first step

I want the lights on anytime the vehicle is running, not tied to the other headlight/fog light circuits and I could not find any other fuses with ignition power. I'm considering running it inside to the other fuse panel if it causes me grief.

Gotcha. So you don’t want it tied to the DRLs.

That would be fine with me, but the DRL on my truck (SR5) are also the blinker so they have variable voltage and brightness, so if I tied my raptor lights to their fuse I believe they will dim and blink with the blinkers

Why would you tap aftermarket accessories into engine management circuits your just asking for trouble...

The INJ fuse is part of the same circuit that actuates the post shut down egr test. So when the test is running when most systems are off, it has power, hence anything attached to the INJ fuse also has power.

Is there any other location to plug into in the fuse box to run DRL or is INJ really the only option for DRL.

This is the same issue as the 'always on fog mod' tapping the power port in the 2nd gens.. the egr runs after a set amount of time after you turn off the truck, for a few minutes the fogs got power if they were turned on..

I've got to say, I've seen your posts on other electrical threads and those diagrams are awesome but I dont think im smart enough to actually pull that off lol. Think I'll cause any damage tapping this INJ fuse? I can probably live with the lights coming on occasionally.

Nope. Just don't add any other illumination to the add-a-fuse branch.

So what fuse in the engine bay did you guys tap? I’m trying some that seem like they should be off but they’re on when the trucks off

I have mine in the same location.
I read that the INJ system runs a test cycle occasionally, this is why they come on.
I have had zero problems and not enough draw to damage the INJ circuit.

I ran my Raptor lights to the INJ and have never seen them on without my TACO being on. I have a '18 TRD Sport.
