That there are, and the reason the Mayor is in a panic is because it has spread (though in small numbers) from "Community Contact", not from folks who visited China, NYC, etc. So the public groups that still meet despite the current restrictions can cause unchecked spread. New York state is the current example of what no one wants to be - cases are doubling in number every third day. Not a lot now is a LOT by next week, and you can't control where the unknown infectoids go! You run your route, stay away from places that are questionable, and you'll be OK.

I would look at previous events like this to get an idea. H1N1 infected about 100 million Americans, killing about 75,000 and sending 936,000 to the hospital for example. Plus medical trails does take time and varies case by case. It's practicing medicine for a reason. I'm not an i.d. specialist but talking to my other peers the pharma industry does not like making vaccines due to them not being profitable, it is not a chronic medication that keeps them pumped with cash. Hence why there was a big talk about the payers waving the p2p (I h8 doing those) and denying inpatient stays, medications, etc.

Well, mine was in good shape, given the decades of abuse. But the sugars in the hard stuff can be a problem, hence my Type 2 Diabetes. Some of you will know this and celebrate with me, but THAT check up today resulted in a "PRE-Diabetes" diagnosis. Combined with pushing the heart issues (which are PROBS alcohol related) back to good reviews, I will be happy with a beer or two to celebrate victories of the yard and mods!
I'm a happy guy today.
Not saying I won't have a good Margarita or something at a fine dinner when we finally go out again, but the long nights of me and Jim Beam are over.
