Sub'd! I've got a 2010 5-lug! I must say that I like the old OK license plates with the Native American archer better than the new "Twitter Bird" ones...

Is your truck manual or automatic?

It's auto, I have plans to turbo it with the auto for awhile then manual swap it and maybe a JZ in its life at some point. It has the 2TR-FE.
I do miss the old plates.

 

Did you wire the factory backup camera to the head unit or leave it in the rear view mirror? My truck, being a 2010, was prewired for a backup camera; However, being a base model, it did not actually have one...

I've got a Pioneer double-DIN touch-screen head unit with a Clarion backup camera tied in; JBL component speaker system, Rockford Fosgate amp, Kicker sub

 

No I tried when I had my first double din and got frustrated lol. I plan on getting new latch and camera off of Amazon and doing it then since it has the rca plug also the lines in the camera.

 

I just have mine mounted above the license plate. My dad drives a 2018 GMC Yukon SLT 4x4 and my mom drives a 2013 Nissan Murano SV AWD; Both of these have factory backup camera, and the aftermarket camera in my truck is far superior to the backup camera in both parents' vehicles in terms of clarity and quality.

I went to Oklahoma City with my dad once back in March 2014; He was going for the college wrestling championship and I wanted to see OKC so he brought me along...

My dad I ended up at a bar in Bricktown on St. Patrick's Day; I ended up drinking with a bunch of airmen from Tinker and had one hell of a great time!

 

Sounds like a hell of a time!

 

One of the reasons I envy your state is because your truck doesn't have to get an emissions test every year!

 

LOL it is very nice not having to. (turbo noises getting louder and louder)

 

Safety inspections I kind of agree with, but I take incredibly good care of my truck so I don't really need to pay a state-certified mechanic sixty bucks to tell me that my truck is in perfect working order...

I had 110,681 when I got home this evening...

Still runs great!

 

They will continue to if we take of them.

 

The most expensive think I've ever had to replace in my truck was the A/C evaporator core, back in September 2018; Almost $1,600!

 

I hope I never have to do that.
