TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Ditto. Was supposed to install this week and the plague killed off all opportunity to make it happen.

 

I got my cm hydro bearing upgrade, still gotta buy a clutch. Either gonna be a URD or spec. This or regear will be my next upgrade.

 

With times like this I might be brave and do the clutchTOB

Well, I got ahold of Kevin at CM late last week and asked him to send me a set of shims for the bearing and a replacement friction disk. The disk is just in case I find anything wrong with the currently installed disk. The shims are to compensate for a flywheel that has been machined a couple of times. They showed up today.

He (Kevin) was groaning and sighing on the phone at me about me wanting a more reasonable length pressure line. So, I told him to never mind. I decided that I'd just have this one shortened locally. I'll share the length I go with once that's done.

He had sent me a seal kit to re-seal this defective T/O bearing a few weeks ago. That is just sitting on my desk at work for now. At that point, spare time was the issue. Not so much any more.

My hours at work have been halved thanks to this outbreak. So, my plan is to spend the day on the lift this Friday. Lots of empty bays at work currently and I have the day off.
With any luck, I'm hoping to drop this thing, correct the erroneous flywheel machining (Kevin's specs!) as well as have the pressure line shortened on Friday. Put it all back together on Saturday.

since clutch masters was offering $100 off a clutch kit, i picked up their stage 3 clutch or fx300. i will also put in a urd heavy flywheel. i have parts in my truck just waiting for work to let me do it on the clock while its slow.

The work cuts are what they are. It's everyone in the world that's feeling this thing. I'm lucky that I'm not a bartender or the like (although I play one in my kitchen) The other car is getting the bulk of the "mod time" The taco is my daily, so, it HAS to be solid. Squeeky wheels receiving the lube n all...

why did you not use yours?

 

i am auto but bought it for a buddy when I was in Colorado. It obviously never got installed and moved across the country with me.

 

i asked him for more than 2 months to sell me his! you really will love this pipe. changes everything in a great way.
