What Should I Sell It For?

I am considering selling my 2018 TRD OR 6 speed manuel. It has 71,500 miles on it...long commute on the highway. It has a 3" coilover lift from Headstrong, RCI front and rear bumpers, Method wheels, bed bars, rear bumper lights, light pods, fogs in front bunper all wired back to switch plate where the hole is on the left bottom of dash, all done right. I really don't know what I should ask for it if I do sell it. What do you guys think? No issues, excellent shape. I love it, but I am needing something to pull a trailer with now.

 

25k+/- would be a easy price range to work with... Might be able to ilk out a little more for the mods but it’s hard when we mod trucks. Most buyers don’t want a modded vehicle, it either turns them away or the mods are useless to them.

 

Part it out, then sell it. You'll make more that way. 70k miles is a lot for a 2018 it'll probably go low 20s

 

My guess is $22k. Your average Tacoma shopper won’t even consider your truck due to the aftermarket front/rear bumpers and the high mileage. You will have a much better chance selling if you can return the truck to 100% factory original condition. Wish you the best of luck.

 

It has high mileage. Normal mileage is 12-15k per year.

I have been down this road before and learned the hard way. I owned a 2013 Fiat Abarth 5-speed manual that I purchased used and starting modifying to my taste and swapped out the exhaust, wheels, taillights etc. When it came time to sell it took me 2-months and I received zero return on the modifications. Never again.

I got it early on when the 18's came out in '17. I have driven it wayyyy too much commuting a long way and long road trips.

 

I feel ya OP. I've batted around for few months relatively the same problem. Ultimately my '16 does everything I want it to and it made a Sprinter van acquisition seem senseless because I would never wheel it in CO or elsewhere to get to the cool spots. Keeping mine and getting a Tab 400 trailer that will save me at least $50k. Have grown out of RTT days. Good luck wif whatever avenue you choose best for your goals.

 

Get a buy quote from Carmax and then add $1,000 to that as a sell it yourself price.

 

I thought about them, but last time I heard they don't buy lifted trucks

 

I’m in the same boat, thinking I might sell my taco for something that can pull a trailer. Plus the taco is getting kind of cramped for me.

 

Its a little cramped for me as well. Especially when you try and fit me, my significant other, 20 yr old, 4 yr old, and a 10 yr old in it. Turns into a clown car real fast

 

With all the money you spent on mods and the high mileage, you're definitely going to take a bath if you sell. Financially you'd be better off restoring it to stock and selling the mods separately.

I disagree with most people on here that truck is still in the 30k mile range necause its obviously all highway its a 2018
