tony mostly answered those questions above, I'll just chime in a little

I'd recommend sticking with the bulb the projector is designed for. even if it "fits" per se, projection of the light beam relies on dimensions of the bulbs it was designed for.

With h1/projectors, you don't have a separate "high" beam that is brighter than the "low" beam setup. Rather, you always have one very bright bulb shining on the road, but in the "low" mode, you have a physical metal shield that stops light from shining above a designated cutoff. This way you get a clean cutoff that can't hotspot into oncoming traffic, and a very bright drive light. When you flip the high, all you're doing (and all the switch is doing) is flipping the metal shield out of the way of the bulb, giving you the full radius of the lught output from the projector.

Basically the same thing as holding your hand over half a flashlight, then moving your hand out of the way.

1995 sr5s use sealed beams rather than the large reflector housings that newer trucks have so you won't really be able to use this walkthrough to make a projector fit. theretrofitsource.com sells sealed beam conversions if you're interested though

I am planning to do a retrofit with mini h1 projectors in some rejular cheap 6x7 housings. Im asking if the led bulbs will pug and play with the harness. (If im looking at the correct on on Amazon from ddm is a HID hi/low relay.) will this work with the led bulns too?
So what you are saying is that i need to hook up the projectors to something on the harness? Im assuming i need the harness even if im going to go with leds...

Ok thanks. I understand i might have to cut the housings to make the projector fit. Do you know if there are any cheap housings that will give me the ability to not cut the housing and rather install the projectors in the h4 bulb/refleacors place?

That's more dependent on the bulbs themselves, I'm not too sure with what bulbs you're looking at specifically. HID and LED bulbs and their power systems are pretty different, and HID relay harnesses usually plug into the HID power ballast so it'd depend on whether or not the power/hi/lo function can be connected to the bulb.
The projectors are connected to the harness to engage the metal hi/lo shield

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm not too familiar with LED stuff
    Shoot
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/retrofitting-services-for-all-tacomas.342693/
A PM, he should be more familiar with it since he does waaay more retros

I'm not too sure, though people usually just get a cheap set of clear-lens sealed beams and go from there. Though honestly, since the entire sealed beam assembly is easy to replace, I'd recommend just picking up a already-assembled set if you're worried about having to cut/DIY the housings. There's a bunch on the market

He's trying to retro a 1995 truck with sealed beams, my walkthrough doesn't apply

Ok thank you for all the help, ill shoot him a pm. Im mainly concerned with what i would need to get my high and low beams to work properly. I understood that out toyota headlight connectors are a little different than other h4s?...Id preffer to use the led bulbs without the high beam function and just use the projectors metal shield to cut off the light.

The problem you'll run into is that the glass lens is going to ruin the output. I know from past experience with a 98 camry.

I just did this swap with the 7x6 bucket.
    I got the Nokya lens,
They are optical clear glass lens with thick aluminum metal buckets.

Much better quality than plastic but harder to cut.

The 7x6 is a small bucket and the back mounting section needs to be cut out in order
for the projector to fit, so the horizontal alignment ring will not work and is a pain
    to get it lined up.
But well worth it once done.
I would definitely get the wiring harness too

The 7x6 are a pain to do because of trying to get the horizontal line even, but there’s no comparison
to the old HID that I had and they were much better than the stock lights,

The 1st photo shows hi beam and low beam, the projector has a cut off as you can see so it is controlled.

Regular lights lend to throw scattered light LED in particular. These you adjust and don’t do that.
Look at the photos again with the low beam cut off,
There is actually a set cutoff to not have that issue and you adjust the beam height to around 28” that is just below the on coming traffic

Read thru this, but was confused on one part. Read that stock lights are h4's if im correct, so did you use a h1 or h4 harness? So which harness/bulbs/other things would I need?
