I think the heated steering wheel would be killer. I didn't think a heated seat on my snowmobile would be worth a damn but that first day of riding in rain or wet snow all day and boy oh boy, it sure is nice. Certainly not necessary but nice indeed.

I never drive with a coat on, but I'd I need to I'll wear gloves for the 2 minutes it takes for the wheel to heat up. I will say, having never had seat heater before my landcruiser I thought they were dumb. But they are nice for the first minute or so when it's cold. Then I turn them off cause they give me swamp ass.

Sounds like you need to spray the tires in tire shine, pull the brake, and floor it in your driveway....to test the torque

Excited to see how these perform.

I purchased the Cooper St/maxx back in 2010 when they first came out.
I like everything about them except for the massive weight and the cost (it seems everytime I price them the MSRP keeps going up.
These Dick Cepek Trail Country EXPs seem like a "budget" version of the ST/Maxx (about 25% cheaper and 15% lighter). DC is owned by cooper.
    Similar tread design.
heavy siping for rain, snow, ice traction.
Unlike the KO2s for example, these have full void lines through the tire for improved wet traction.
They are an E-load tire but are 2 ply sidewall and I believe still a 10 ply tread.
a 265/75/16 weighs only 50lbs compared to 55-58 for the st maxx, ko2, wildpeak at3/w, etc.

That's why I don't want one. But then again for the past several years I've only said to myself "wish I had a heated steering wheel" like 5 times. If it was easy to add, maybe. But I'm fine without it.

I'm the same way. I wear just a hoodie all winter, my wife and I are opposite sides of the spectrum. I go from a warm, heated house to a warm car (or warm enough, at least, for a few minutes in a hoodie as needed), then drive as it warms up, to a warm office, with 30 seconds in the elements each time. I hate driving in a jacket, so am I going to wear one and annoy myself for the 20 seconds I could use one? No thanks!

I used to keep the heated seats at 1 in the mazda, leather. Had the Tacoma from about the end of December, there were times it would have been nice, but after a few minutes (without leather) I'm fine without heated seats.

I never felt like I needed a heated steering wheel. I just stick my hands in front of the vents to warm them up for a quick sec and I am good to go. But I never used a heated steering wheel before so maybe I would have different thoughts if I had?:notsure: My snowblower has heated grips which is nice.

if the car is still cold, the vents don't help

True. But after a few minutes of warm up I'm usually good. Like said before, I am not used to "luxury" stuff in my vehicles. Since my other car is a 2004 Jeep Wrangler with a soft top I might just be used to it. If its cold enough, I try to let my vehicles warm up a bit before I take off.
