    Hey TW,

I purchased a 2020 off-road a few weeks ago. After purchasing I noticed it had a slight pull to the right so I figured I would swap the tires on the front side to side. That helped a little but still had a drift to the right. I had the dealer check the alignment and sure enough the right toe was out. It helped a little but it still has a drift. I rotated the tires but it still does the same thing. I'm thinking its radial pull from bad tires. What are your thought on the step to fix this?

It's a 2020, take it to the dealer and let them drive it then let them fix it. It shouldn't be your problem.

The dealers in my area suck. They scratch wheels and already scratched the door panel so I'm trying to avoid them at all costs honestly.

Make them fix it. Our dealership had to replace all 4 of my sons rims on his old 2015 Tacoma. If they damage something, bring it to their attention. It wasn't like that before.

find another Dealer and take it in there, also the other Dealer should address the damage they have done, this is not rocket science

if the dealer sucks then there's your answer. i would never let those clowns touch my truck. I've learned as well.

OP it's on you to find a quality local tech who gets it. maybe your tires are scrubbed from the bad toe and you just need some time to rescrub. maybe there's an actual hardware issue. if you can't answer the questions yourself then find someone who can. then pay them. ask in your local forum for a good recommendation. a quality tech is indispensable whether it's you or someone else. but not the dealer and not for free.

If the shop told you that adjusting toe would correct the pull, you need to ask for a refund. Caster and to a much lesser degree camber cause a pull. Tires can cause pull as well, but if they cross rotated the tires the pull should have gone the other way if it were the tires. A slight right drift is common with road crown. It could just be your sensitivity.

Since you have to take it back to slam them for telling you that the right toe was the cause of the problem, you can ask them to max out the caster. That might help

One other thing, did they give you a print out of the alignment? Post that so we can see your specs.

One last thing. Questioning the obvious. It is a 2020 that you just bought? Didn't you test drive it first?

when i have gone back to the dealer for a problem they are running in circles on, it's :frusty:.

why? let morons mess up my stuff because it's free? I've never seen a dealer figure out an alignment issue regardless of what it was. not once. even simple stuff. they don't diagnose or fix, they just try to put back to stock numbers. that's not fixing a problem if there is one. good luck OP.

That isn't uncommon because most dealers don't have dedicated alignment techs. It is typically a tech who knows how to use the machine and that is about the extent of their knowledge. For a toe and go, that is usually about all they need to know. For ride quality issues, you need someone that does it every day.

i hear you but i have my own dealer story about a messed up toe on an alignment. the short version is i had a huge underlying issue, a stripped cam bolt. the dealer did 3 things:
    - wasted days of my time
    - wasted $175 in joke "diagnostic fees". there was no diagnosis.
    - re-aligned my truck incorrectly 3 times that attempted to cover the problem but didn't, not at all. they put 0.03L toe-in and 0.11R toe-in and argued with me that it was correct. meanwhile the truck's front end was skipping at highway speed. literally.

i only blame myself. if you go to a dealer for any kind of detail, you're gonna get screwed 9/10.

I recently bought a used 17 and had the dealer align it after new tires. It pulled so bad after they aligned it I had to bring it back same day. They did another alignment that made it somewhat better. Took it back again and made the tech drive it. He aligned it again and now it’s fine. He didn’t drive it until the last time, he just made adjustments and called it a day. That was the dealer here in clermont. I’d take it back and make them redo it and drive it
