My wife asked if I was enjoying this 'time off'

I am used to being on my feet or driving all day, I do enjoy downtime, but only when I deserve it.
    This is not fun.

Blue skies today, that means I can at least get shit done outside the house.

I "want" to go to Lowe's, but also don't want to be "that guy" either.... heard it was packed the other day.... so much for staying home :goingcrazy:

I should, but just keep working.... when I'm busy, time flies.

Get a dog... problem solved - you'll have no choice but to walk :D

Day 10 - Everything I needed pressure washed is washed, did some house stuff that was backlogged, now thinking about touchup painting. Also got 3/4 of of the drainage ditch in front cleared and re-dug. It's 150 feet long, so maybe I'll do some more tomorrow. I like digging, but the Florida sun kills me after an hour or so.

Our corporate office announced we will work from home till April 17. So I did a Costco/Winn Dixie run to get supplies. Now have enough eggs, frozen stuff and paper towels to last a month or two. No toilet paper anywhere. Thursday morning was "Costco senior morning" and the old codgers got all the TP. I understand Costco is doing this to help people over 60 get all their supplies, but this is f'ing Florida; half the state is over 60. Apparently there was a huge lineup in the morning, so while I didn't get TP, I didn't have to wait in the sun, while the seniors bum-rushed the Costco.
Meanwhile our idiot Governor has suggested self quarantine for incoming travelers, which is freakin stupid. By the time they get someplace to quarantine; they have already infected 50 people (if they are sick).

Can you do an online order with free in store pick up? At least you're limiting the time youre out in public that way.

I cant have pets where I'm at now and with all of the travelling I do to non pet friendly parks and stuff I don't think it would work out to have a doggo

Well you're doing better than these 2 on Day 10

    WAIT, Costco what?!

Had to look it up and sure enough started on the 24th and only on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8-9 AM. I'm 61 soon to be 62 damn whippersnappers get the hell out of my way! Thanks for the heads up :D

Have a delivery coming in the morning from a grocery store in town though will have to see how much and what gets delivered. Not holding my breath on the TP.

Stay at Home order starts tomorrow here and go until April 10th. Work also came out and said no non essential travel even between hospitals and clinics until June 30th. Have a sinking feeling that work might be a bit more accurate of a timeline. Guess we will know before long.

Hope it works out for you! Here, there were enough seniors between 8-9 to totally clear a Costco of TP (only one roll per customer). That's what, a few thousand seniors in an hour? Holy crap!

We also get groceries delivered, but lately it has been limited. My wife doesn't want to overuse the service, so bulk from Costco was our best bet. I didn't want to go anywhere, but we can't tell the delivery people to try multiple stores until they find what we need. You get what's available in their store and sometimes it is empty.

We had Cracker Barrel delivered last night. Yummy, and I didn't have to go anywhere. To be honest, I like that better than going to the restaurant. I just open the door, grab the food, crack open a beer and eat watching TV. Beats going out anytime! Just don't tell my wife :)

    "o Lao" huh?

... you been doing so good too. :(

My bet is on work...you know, premier medical agency in the country and what not. Not happy about it, but I think that's the reality. 3-4 weeks no way, 3-4 months maybe if we get lucky.
    So... :fingerscrossed: &
