So, I did a "purge local data" in P5Flash and wasn't thinking.. It trashed my copy of the OLE tune I liked.. Any chance someone has a copy of:
    04B04+-+2.0+EROM+-+Shift+Build+16012+-+Base+pcm

    They could share with me?
    Please? :D

Doesn’t really matter. Why you trying to call him out? What’s that going to accomplish?

Fact is, this is what’s going to happen. Like it or leave it. I can promise you that 99% of people will like it and not leave it

I agree....it is what it is. He mentioned 2.0 is the final tune.

??? check in your download file - the purge local data should not delete tunes from the file they are downloaded / saved to. Or at least it did not do that when I did the purge function. ???

I've been working on the software for a few years.
I've been talking about it periodically over the last several months, not the last 3 years.

2.0 being the final update has been mentioned since the beginning of 2.0 being made.

So this stuff happening isn't really "new" it's just happening now, instead of planned closer to the end of the year.

Nobody remembers when I posted about software to tune your own truck?

I'm copying what I said in the MT thread :
The chain of events leading up to right now is just crazy. First, hardware supply chain issues, software update issues (italy), Supply chain backlog, CoronaVirus shelter in place orders, Kids school closed for the rest of the year, 80+% sharp decline in sales, my wife's job, who she works for a company in California, has put her on a temporary hold / no work for weeks or longer... (and my daughter goes to a local private school so even with school cancellation, tuition doesn't stop). This isn't going to stop us, it's just changing some things.

All of this pushed our time line to transition to our new software we have been working on for the last 2+ years.

I just loaded 04B04+-+2.0+EROM+87+-+Shift+Build+19800 and took the 3 year old for a 40 mile drive to get her to nap. Not a huge difference over stock but noticeable in terms of how it accelerates in 5th and 6th gear without downshifting on the freeway (I-15 and 215 belt route in SLC). Gas Pedal feels less dead, and I like that.

3/4 up shift is a little short, also had it bouncing between 3/4 and 3000/5000 rpm headed up I-80 towards Park City to see how it behaves on bigger hills. That was a little more annoying than stock but I was pulling 75-80 mph in the process. It was able to head up the hill in 4th and maintain speed better than stock. Just drove in “D” to see how it behaves on its own. Need to try “S” and ETC combos throughout this tank of 88 ethanol free. Then maybe try 91 tune for a tank.

So far I’m happy, no issues setting up the software and flashing tunes, seemed pretty easy to me. Just follow the instructions.

The old drive the kid around to get them to nap trick, I love it. My 5 yr old daughter falls asleep pretty quick in the car.

I remember talk of the software. I think most people are excited about it, and I'm sure there are safeguards in place so people don't mess up their ride too much. Looking forward to 2.0 and the new software to be available

@OVTune Just drop final 2.0 (pcm and pf5) for us 04b04 users, 4.88's and 5.29's included, and then we will see what comes next. I totally get the move to vF Tuner software - too many cats to heard. Thanks for raising us up from the depths of the mess the Mothership delivered to us.

I apologize if this is redundant. I read the major update posted, but am still confused. I have been contemplating purchasing this flash kit for the past week, but I missed the mark I guess :(. Is there anyway for me to purchase and be able to get the same results I would have if I had purchased the flash?

I am very inexperienced as far as ecu with vehicles and honestly do not understand how it works. I just know I hate my auto transmission.

read the OP and it explains what you need to do, when the tuner kit is released it will come with sample tunes you can use as is or tune to your desires

edit: this is the handheld accessory version, not OFT.

edit: price lowered to $200. Bought 6 months ago, received it three months ago, not able to use it until 2.0 drops, 2018+ supported any day now months ago, and he stopped selling them before he has yet to support them. Don’t miss out on this bargain!

^^^ This. Or you can ask for a current user of the Tune with your same ecu and mods (gears and or larger tires) to share their copy of 2.0 final with you - then use the vF Tuner software / Flash Manager to do your truck - or better yet find a vF Tuner user with the same ecu and Mods (gears and or larger tires) to flash your ecu with their tune as the vF Tuner software can be used on unlimited vehicles with the same ecu. ???

downloaded the new beta 2.0 for our 2019 sport tonight. only issue i had was finding where the downloaded file was :D. purged the other tunes, loaded the new tune to the desktop, loaded into truck. reset at, and learned values to start fresh. will have to let it settle a bit. will update when i have a firm gasp of the new tune, and the truck settles to it. thank you Mat! Well, hit the speed limiter again today. Not sure why it would be intermittent but I believe it has something to do with the truck sensing what gear and rpm you are in and thinking it’s going way faster than it is.
