I'm a citrus meadows man myself.

Between the peracetic acid, sodium hypocholorite, and quat compounds, we have dead things. Any rooms that recirc air run through HEPA filters.

Hoping that includes company fuel too. Somebody should get a perk out of this.

I agree. I've been teleworking twice a week for the past few years. The work/life balance is good for me that way. My job doesn't require me to be on call, so when I'm done, my stuff gets shut off and put in my bag and I don't touch it till it's time to work again.

Okay, I'll bite. How do you know? You a CPA?
I didn't mean that the depreciation affects home value, but it is my understanding (and I could be wrong) that it does affect the taxes on the home sale. Also, the depreciation I am referring to is not on items. It's on the home and needs to be calculated when trying to deduct percentages of utility bills, based on the size of one's home office vs. the house. Again, I'm not a CPA, so don't take my word for any of this; just a little bit of what I've picked up over the past few years.

Most people convert a spare bedroom into a home office. They're basically the same but if you list the house as 2 bed 2 bath w/ home office, it's worth less than 3 bed 2 bath.

My bad, I thought you were talking about the home value. I am also not an accountant. I Have run a business from the home for twenty years, and have had the same accountant the whole time. From my conversations with him, there is not a depreciation on the home or the area of the home that is/was used for the business. Value may increase, actually, if you have improved those areas for business. A home based business does not devalue/depreciate the home concerning taxes at the sale. Percentage of utility bills also, does not effect anything to do with the sale of said home. I hope I understood your comments, not trying to be a know-it-all.

If you claim a home office on federal taxes you need to keep track of it because when you sell the amount you wrote off gets factored in. I’m not a CPA either but I chose not to do that due to the hassle. I’m lazy.

I used to commute about 150 miles a day round trip. I figured it was costing me $10k per year to get to work.
