What did you do?

 

You have to go to setup and click calibration

Select an RMP and hold it there of 10 seconds

For TPS you put the truck in on position with the engine off

Click ok with no pressure on the pedal
Then again with the engine off push the pedal to WOT and click ok

 

Good. Now set the closed loop enrichment to come on sometime between 1-3psi. Maybe aim to ramp to 13-12.5AFR

 

Followed AEM FIC for setup system
Truck at running temperature
2000 RPMs
O2 table at 0
Selected all cells an set to .2
Nothing
Nothing

UPDATE: I had to check the High Level Dive box...it worked

 

Unfortunately I don’t know what I’m looking at. I’m not familiar with the AEM software and tables.

Are you still trying to figure out how to enrich the closed loop areas?

IIRC you you need to switch the o2 to “AFR sensor” somehow because you have the factory AFR sensor. then there should be a way to just choose a target AFR for a boost level and it will self populate.

There’s a thread for this but I’m not 100% sure.

 

Gave up on get LTFT to 0. Tuned FIC and it’s working great

I am going to build a thread for FIC tuning since their doesn’t seem to be one. Just to clear things up a bit for people

Finally started this project on my truck. Valve cover gaskets and spark plugs were changed yesterday. Now on to more fun things!

 

Don’t stress over LTFT at idle. The fuel pressure regulator is now referenced at the manifold so it alters the fuel pressure.

 

Already ran into a problem. The belt tensioner bolt jacked up on me...after I ran it in and out a dozen times to make sure the dirt was out of the hole. I went to tighten it with the torque wrench and that’s all she wrote.

 

That same bolt has always been kinda hard for me the last threads.
I ended up putting grease on it and that helped a ton.
Time for a new higher strength bolt

 

It wasn’t tough to thread on, that’s why I’m so puzzled. Now I’m trying to find a replacement

 

Will you have to use a tap and die set to clean the threads in the block?

 

Most likely. Of course I don’t have a tap that size.

Edit: Turns out I do have an M10x1.25 tap! Ran it through and cleaned the threads. Now if I could only find a new bolt....

 

Lowe’s, HD or Ace

Ace didn’t have. I already checked. Didn’t check Lowe’s or Home Depot.


My install kit did not have any new bolts for the throttle body. I have two bolts that came out of the stock instillation, but the upper plenum had studs for the throttle body. Was my kit supposed to come with two additional bolts for the throttle body?

 

No, you have to reuse the throttlebody (studs) bolts

Do not try to take the throttlebody bolts out with a pliers or anything crazy

Research the 2 nut method and take your time

 

Wasn’t until the next page in the instructions that I saw the note about reusing the studs. Not sure why the note was on another page...oh well. I have a stud extractor tool that works perfect for things like that.


I’ve got the blower installed and vacuum lines hooked up. Kind of at a standstill now until I can get a new bolt and for the tensioner and install the belts.

 

I’m surprised that ace didn’t have it.

You got the fuel filter replaced
And cooler plugs installed?
And new air filter?
Boost guage?
AFR Gauge ?
Stock pulley?
