What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Anyone know if @Toytec Lifts stopped making the boss 2.0 shocks? All I can find on there website is the alumaseries stuff now?

They handle great, they don’t behave undesirably on road and they are great off road. They are not loud. They are probably the quietest MT I’ve ever been around

 

Chenowth longback. We had one when I was growing up as a kid. To find this brought back great memories and I couldn't pass it up. My grandson is going to love driving it.

You had to use a sawzall? And it required more than one charge.

 

Not today but throughout this quarantined week, built myself a dog platform for my AC. Still need to carpet it but overall i'm very happy with the result. For those who are wondering why it's sitting up so high, I have a subwoofer box sitting in between the jump seats and the top shelf of the platform sits on top of the box. The fronts are obviously supported by the wide white pillars, the rear is supported by the small wood pieces that are notched and sit snuggly on a small bar connected to the jump seats assembly.

Sadly, it is seized tighter than ( insert and reply with your favorite euphemism)...
And, these batteries weren't fully charged when I started.
This hardware is crazy hard. And it's hard holding the speed/pressure sweet spot; where it will actually cut decently.

Diablo blades work nice and last longer than others. I should have looked for a carbide blade...

 

Ok sweet, I already have the full kit but curious for when time comes to change them out for new again!

 

05-10 (I think) dont have it. Pre emissions regulation I guess.

 

Not knocking Diablo blades, but have you tried these new Milwaukee Torch blades? Very impressive!

 

Seems like the times you might need it might not be the times you have an opportunity to put it back

Completed the rear differential mod today.

 

Tacomas:
2005-2011 V6 Don't have it
2012-2015 V6 DO have it

So the filter mod is for 2012-2015 V6 trucks. All 2005+ 2.7L 4cyl have a SAI pump too, but not sure about 3rd gen 4cyl.

 

A bit of extra clearance, and insurance that you dont bang up the threads on rocks if you offroad. And just a cleaner look

 

Thanks! I have a roll up cover and can roll it up all the way without removing the bars. From what I've read, trifold guys have to remove the crossbars to fold up the cover.

 

Do you have pics of your sub box? I’m trying to figure out how to install a sub and dog platform as well
