I’ve noticed some moisture under my floor liner on the drivers side floor. It is only on the drivers side front, and under the floor liner. Any suggestions as to where i should start looking. I am going to have the windshield seal checked tomorrow..... but if not that what? Any help is appreciated. Oh its a 2017 Limited... and never offloaded, no river crossings, or anything like that.

Improper roofrack install is the usual culprit. The other is the 3rd brake light.

No roof rack, and would the 3rd brake light make the front floor wet? Rear and passenger side all dry.

It is definitely possible. Do you have a sunroof?

Ah did not know that. I purposely picked a truck without a sunroof to avoid this problem.

Anyway to the OP, you're pretty much down to the windshield (especially if it was replaced), sunroof or third brake light (unlikely to travel all the way up front without affecting anything else). Door seal also seems a bit unlikely.

Since no one that knows has answered this... My only help is that in all other cars I had a sun roof, there were 4 drain tubes that went from each corner down the a-pillars (front) and 2 down the c-pillars. I am not sure on the taco. I'll look around for a doc on it.

Sorry, I keep forgetting some of these trucks have sunroofs!

Now that you mention that, I would focus there!

This confirms my theory about there being 4:

Check each corner of the cab underneath the truck and look for something like this: Again, borked windshield install is where I'd keep my focus, but if not and for anyone who stumbles upon this in the future, I hope this helps.

It took 4 attempts to get the windshield on my truck to seal properly. I chased moisture for ages and basically ruined the truck for me for a long time, because anytime I smell something remotely "off" I immediately assume it's water coming in again.

A lot of the shops now use some sort of "foam" to set the windshield rather than the old style glaze / caulking. I had a horrific leak with the generic aftermarket glass (which shouldn't have even gone into the truck given it was less than a year old) and my truck got scratched up. Then I had an OEM windshield put in, leaked, had it re-sealed, leaked. I had a third windshield put in and that sealed for a bit until it leaked where the rear view mirror was. I finally went to another Mom-n-Pop shop who used an FY brand shield that's been in there for about a year and half without issue. I've torn apart the interior of my truck more times than I'm comfortable with. My poor driver's side kick panel doesn't even have clips anymore :(.

    Best of luck.

IIRC the Heater Core is over towards the drivers side also.
