Same process you'd need to do for a switchpro and the like anyway, the ring terminal is just a bigger gauge and cuts out the middleman.

    Hahaha you'll have a blast.

Portable endfed antenna! Let's me use my hf radio in the truck where it's warm and dry, and I can just throw the antenna into a tree. The box is the one I posted awhile back with the red wire in it.

So what is everyone doing Amateur Radio related during all this HOME time?

Ive have a HF wire antenna, just havent gotten it in the tree. Pollen gets the better of me, each time i go outside. Just been vegetating inside, ordered a V/Uhf base antenna. Have a Hexbeam still in pieces. Plus other HF antennas in pieces.
HF wire is the closest one that would be in the air only if the rain and pollen would cooperate. Phantom 4 batteries all charged and ready to put the lines into trees..

After having my general for a couple of years, and an FT891 for almost a year, I finally built and put up a fan dipole ( 6, 10, 20, and 40, not enough room to stretch out an 80 ) and tuned it.

I haven't sat down and really used it yet, it is my first HF radio, so when I do I wont have anything to compare it to.
It sounds good, and transports easily, but due to circumstances I haven't been able make time to transmit.

I also have a Wolf River Coil TIA1000, for portable, that I haven't had time to really set up and use. I got all setup at a park once, and a family member went into the ER, and I had to take it all back down before I got to transmit.

    Life ugh.

Installing my TYT-9000D 65W/45W radio today. Got a Powerwerx ATC style fuse holder with ring terminals and powerpole connectors. It comes already with 40amp fuse's. Will the 40 be good for what I am doing or will I need different a different fuse? Thanks.

Anyone know of an designated examiner that can monitor a tech test in the socal area? All the testing sites are closed due to the coronavirus. I was ready to take the test but then this happened. :(

The problem is you need three VEs to administer an exam and the team needs to get materials from the VE coordinator. So it's not as simple as meeting a single examiner at will.
