Hello there! I've recently done my civil duty and joined the community of TW, i figured I've used this platform for enough information since I bought my truck that I should try to give back a little. Not that I have a wealth of knowledge, but a few things here and there.

I've got a 1996 4x4 Tacoma extra cab. I definitely cant say I've built it, but I for sure have done my fair share of modifications from when i first picked it up. 639e64a75aff2e92ede711c0c066fee6.0.jpg
This was the day I picked it up, August of 2018. 33 All Country MT's on a 3in body lift. Standard trans with a supercharger.

Before I became wise to the ways of TW, I scoured craigslist for a front bumper and ended up finding a used ARB. The bumper had been around the block and definitely needed some love, but nothing a little TLC and paint couldn't take care of. I threw the bumper on, a pair of KC lights, and a smittybuild synthetic line winch. 20180919_220655.jpg

After running like that for a while I decided it was time to get real and pull the body lift, and start getting into the suspension. There were also a few other factors that pushed me to take out the pucks, but in total, it was probably safety. As I took them out and dropped the body back onto the frame and all that jazz, some of the pucks came out in two halves. a lot of the hardware was pretty rusted and it was pretty clear as I was doing the job that I had made the right call. A day or two later, a bunch of agony, and some new body mounts and the truck was ready to roll... kind of.. ran into a huge snag with the tires that I had planned to swap down to, ended up not being able to do that and really had to scramble to get some tires on it because I needed the truck for work.20190905_182612.jpg
So that's how the truck currently sits. It's got some little legs, but there plans to change that. I've got some suspension parts and wheel bearings on the way, just need to find the time to tear it all apart and then hopefully get some bigger shoes. Looking to go back up to 265/75/16's. I think that will fit quite nicely.

It's taken me a while to find some time to introduce my truck, and it aint much, but it is an awesome little truck, and for sure got me hooked into the Tacoma life. It doesn't hurt to be a 1st gen either!
