Thanks guys! I love this truck. Unfortunately I have to put more mods on hold due to the covid-19 pandemic. As soon as we're back on track though I will be doing a new front bumper with a brush guard, winch, and light bar as well as a new matching rear bumper.

I’ve been doing my research and according to many lockers create noise and screeching when turning , I’m looking for an lsd for my daily , I’m over it slipping in the slightest rain , I’ve aired down enough to where it won’t slip but not comfortable to keep it at 30 when my tires require 45 pounds , do you have experience with LSDs vs lockers for these 5 luggers?

I would try to get an lsd for a daily. I was going to go that route until I got an elocker axle for cheap. It's an open diff until I lock it for off-roading.

This was a couple of weeks ago. Trying to finish the wiring up so I can move on to the second stage soon.

Have no experience with them, but I would go with the LSD for a DD. Only if ur planning on trailing or taking the truck offroad would I go the rear axle 6 lug e locker swap. Was just curious why you wanted that route, my apologies

    Hi 5 Lug Gurus,

Got a 2015 Crew Cab 5 lugger a couple months back and did the Fat Bobs Lift on it. Looking at getting bigger tires and rims since the truck looks like its skipped leg day. I was looking at 31s, but after reading through the thread it seems like there is a loss of power.

For those that have experience with it hopefully you can chime in. Is the loss of power that severe? Are there other (cheaper ways) to get some of that power back with the 31s? Was thinking maybe a cold air intake. Got laid off recently so a regear is not in the budget at this time.

Thanks in advance. Screen Shot 2020-04-03 at 3.36.34 PM.jpg

I went with 31s on mine and did the pro comp leveling kit. Have not done anything to adjust the power yet. There is a power loss, it's not as significant as I thought it would be. I will be regearing to 4.10 after this covid19 stuff gets under control. But it still drives great. I don't have any problems inner city or highway travel. Also with 31's you will need to do the black box mod to prevent rubbing. Super super easy mod.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely doing the black box mod since it seems easy enough to do.

Love the rims on your truck those are sweet!

Thanks man. Are you planning on doing the pro comp lift? I got mine on Amazon for less than $300. Wasn't too difficult to do and definitely makes the 5lugger ride more like a truck

I did the Fat bobs Lift with the Extended AAL. It definitely helps and makes it it higher. The 31s will definitely help a lot more as well.
