What have you guys done to upgrade your headlights? The factory lights just aren't bright enough, I'm thinking maybe a bulb upgrade or going with new headlights all together. Has anyone had experience with these tacomabeast lights? Thanks fellas!

Tacoma beasts are just junk. Best bang for your buck are phillips H9 bulbs modded to fit H11 sockets. Or GE+130 h11 bulbs.

I'm BLOWN AWAY at how good the $150 morimoto HID kit is. So easy to install, amazing light, no one blinded because they're focused down.

@no vtec 4me can hook you up with some nice looking lights and oem quality, his BLHM is the way to go. Tons of add on options to make them custom to your liking!

Quality LED bulbs are the Morimoto 2stroke H11 bulbs at approximately $120 per pair. If you want a mass produced headlight housing that won't yellow or fog up then you'd want the Morimoto XB headlights at approximately $1,200.

The 2stroke 2.0 arent that much better than a halogen bulb. Waste of $120 imho.

The 2 Strokes are pretty bad in our headlights, might as well pay a little more and get the Morimoto HID kit.

I like the 2 strokes but I haven't seen the HID in person. Got any pics?

Sorry, I don't have any pics.
HIDs usually are better than LED in output and pattern in our stock Halogen Projectors.

When I changed over, it was easy to notice the differences.
Cleaner cutoff with a very visible hotspot.

The 2 Strokes aren't a good upgrade in our projectors.
I believe there are Hikari's that perform better than the 2 Strokes, @crashnburn80 has a thread comparing them.

The Morimoto's HIDs are slightly worse then the high end Philips HID.

bought these because i broke my factory headlights and these were cheaper, but yes looks great the drl's don't have a very strong attachment so sometimes they may flick but it fixes itself, not a fully sealed housing for ventilation they claim so if you do a water crossing they'll fog up for a bit, light output is incredibly mediocre with my led's but with my lift I aimed them pretty low so I don't blind anyone. Definitely don't consider them an "upgrade" but they do look great and they were cheaper for me to buy then replace with my oem. I left like a 2 or 3 star review on shit beast's website but they won't post it I guess because they only let the positive reviews in.

Just throw some led's in and lower the beam in your oem ones and they'll be great, BUT DON'T CRANK THEM TO LOW! You will break that plastic piece that lowers the beam like I did. I like the diode dynamics led bulbs and they're great because you get like over a year I dont remember on pretty much any kind of warranty. I broke the tab at the offroad park and they still replace it for free!

All of the constant bla bla bla. Smh ‍♂️ Your headlight housings are meant for the type of bulbs they use. Going LED etc etc will NOT help light output. Only buying a higher quality and or output halogen will help. End of story.

The OEM 2020 LED's I have are the best looking headlights I've seen on a Tacoma. And they work great. Get some.

He said he wants lights with better output, not basically the same output for $1200

IMO you can not beat factory lamps for fit, finish, looks or quality. Also they are DOT legal. That makes them the best choice. The price of the OEM LED headlamps maybe high but those are the ones I will get when the time comes.
