Sounds like something is wired wrong or your AFR adjust table is wrong.

The afr module is driving the stock AFR sensor signal lean, so the ecu is dumping fuel to try to drive the mixture where it should be.

    :D.

Needs to turn up the boost to lean it out. Hehe.....

But really, once the fueling is refined, it will be even better. Going to bump it up to 8?

That’s what I those him. He was running 12-13psi on urd sc.

I think since he nuked his last motor he’s gonna run this at 7.5psi til his other motor is built.

I’m too scared to run boost. Haha. I think once I get the AC lines done and actually get some exhaust on the truck, I’ll get it tuned and see how I feel. Right now I’m just a little gun shy.

Understandable. The 8.7 spring is a good peak boost with your turbo, and keeping the guts nice and happy. Don't go past without upgrading internals.

What soft line did you use for your AC lines? Do you have a link?

Well an update im glad madtaco461 made me get my shit together cause i did get her working now i have to figure out how to get it to run right. The one thing i dont have is patience and thats one thing that is required. finally got it to idle around 13.5 dont know everything ive read is 12.5 is the sweet spot dependent on the situation and boost and rpm of course.

Tell me if im wrong get it to run good around 12.5 with very little timing advanced, then slowly added the timing to keep the motor from grenading.

Any good videos or posts would be great to reference

    Thanks for all your help

Idle and off boost/part throttle cruising should be at an AFR around 14.7 or a hair lower. Under boost you want to richen up. I'd shoot for 11.5 under boost to start, so you make sure you have plenty of fuel cooling the cylinders. Then lean it out from there for more power and to make sure you're not going to melt a piston.

So tell me if im correct on this, the mapecu3 with mapecu2 afr calibrator allows the o2 sensor ecu signal to pass through to the ecu so that in closed loop not under boost the truck can run stock and the ecu will maintain 14.7 and be happy. Its when ur under boost in closed loop you can alter the signal to fuel more to keep afrs down as well as transition easier to open loop?

As long as you're in closed loop, the afr calibrator can make adjustments. However, the afr calibrator isn't a pass through. The AFR sensor is a current based sensor, so the calibrator bleeds off or injects current. It should be tapped into the stock sensor signal and not intercepting it completely.

I finally pulled my head out of my ass and got the truck cooperating in closed loop with the afr table. Ive just been getting on the freeway for three miles get off turn around and then pull over and tweak, then turn around and do it all over again. Once i have it fine tune on the street might rent a dyno for a couple hours to hash it out. Probably once i pump the boost and bigger injectors.

One thing im having difficulty is more fueling in open loop. Im in maf intercept, map y and i try to start in the rpm and boost range at entering open loop. I max it out and im still running 13 afrs. I dont know if i have that figured out totally. Back timing off? Thanks for all the help guys.
