What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Traded wife’s highlander SE for this insanely clean one owner SE Premium ‘17 sienna. Got a very good deal and it’s in such good condition you could mistake it for a brand new sienna. My son was VERY excited

 

Fab’d up a Frankenstein bed rack out of a hitch mount rack and some cross bars a buddy and I made. Making another cross bar so the rack sits on 2 vs 1 next week. (It’s bedlined now)

 

I put an exhaust tip on mine a few years ago. I really would like to put a supercharger on it, but my clear coat is coming off and the paint is fading. I hate to so my pride and joy in this shape. I wonder how much it would cost for a decent paint job?

 

A curious question to anyone who has deleted the sway bar on a daily driver.....from a legal standpoint wonder if involved in a accident what the implication of removal would mean...

 

I could have them off with a fresh bladed hack saw in under a minute. But who's counting

Nicely done! I've been wanting to redo my overland setup reinstalling the softtopper and building a lid / rack for an M416 trailer.

 

No, straight forward affair. The spacer effectively expands the volume of the intake plenum and extends runner lengths so it will lower peak torque some.

 

Took my mudflaps off, and re-purposed one of them into this switch panel. Also painted the whole thing black.

 

How did you the Power Gas Door Mod? Very interested in what's needed and how to install... Thanks

 

Any chance we can get you to post the part numbers for the 3rd gen motor and button?

I used an OEM Toyota Prius “Gas Door” switch instead to keep it looking stock and the lock actuator if from a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe.

 

Installed the Uni-filter and cover.

Read, and read, and read, and when your done read some more. Is NOT your typical MOD, it requires some skill and lots of trial and error. Luckily, there are a lot of members how have done the heavy lifting already.

Finished suspension, adjusted coils, CB shim and alignment. Still have a vibration at low speeds. I’ll work on that in the near future.

 

Hey Crux, just too give you an idea, I built my lid by purchasing a cheap ($35) Fiberglass bed cover off of Craigslist, and cut it down to fit, then purchased a cheap universal ladder rack off of Fleabay, and modded it to carry my RTT
