Thanks Brother. I think I am gonna keep looking for someone that wants to trade for the T409 Axle Dump version. That's what I was going to buy, and then either keep mine just in case or sell it. I can get one new for just about $300 and I'm sure I can sell mine for at least $150 since it is a OEM Pro exhaust with the black tip welded on.

    But thank you T!

What's more likely is they don't want to waste their time defending themselves when your minds are already made up about it and have no intention of purchasing it.

If it’s legit and there is a real reason for it then don’t you think they would want to pass that info along and make more sales rather then just brush it off and lose sales?

I've seen fat Marines. Usually Admin MOS, or ones that were getting ad-sep for failing to get in regs

    Thanks
Thank you David. I'm more interested in a Turn Down XP Series. What's funny is, Home Depot now sells auto parts and they sell it for under $300. Strange times.

Judging by the fact that they "liked" my explanation for it a couple of pages ago, I'm going to assume that it was a correct/legitimate explanation for it and there's not much more to be said about it.

Edit: I'll add that the skid plate is also something that sets them apart from other stock length lowers. There are only so many ways to skin a cat, and those arms are now different from others in a few ways and can be the deciding factor if someone is shopping around.

That's marketing 101 I think, product differentiation. Most of the time those things are gimmicks (not that I'm debating one way or the other in this case, just stating my experience). I once designed a chainsaw with a 23 cent bubble level on it.

Not to bash or add to the stuff going on. But to my understanding, isnt aluminum made skids usually more expensive then the steel counterparts, meaning that if this was designed to be a throw away item, it would essentially make it more expensive since replacing it would cost more than a steel version that would last longer in the first place?

Something this small and simple won't be very expensive. It appears to just be a cut and bent part with no welding. Without looking it up, I'd say maybe $80-$100 per side? And if you replace them every couple years, that's pretty insignificant considering you're talking about such an expensive piece that it protects. The appeal here of aluminum vs steel I think is the corrosion factor. You can scratch and beat them up and it's not going to rust on you.

Same aluminum skid plate though since that's what all the fuss is about on these. Not Uni Ball or Ball Joints.

Definitely agree with the rust factor.

I personally just dont see it. But good on the company for at least making the item an option for the market. Some people dont wheel and simply want the looks with the light weight.

Yeah, regardless if someone sees the value in it, I think the innovation is pretty neat. Something to be said about a company that does that.
