@cynicalrider and @Wheelspinner it's disappointing that I need to stop what I'm doing to address this because you guys think one of our product features is a gimmick. I'm open to answering questions and have you challenge my responses but please do so respectfully. @EatSleepTacos gave you an explanation 4 minutes after you asked the question ":notsure: something disposable and replaceable to better protect the body of the LCA itself. Once it gets bad enough just toss it and get a new one. Protects the actual LCA and prolongs its life. May not be the most necessary thing but I can understand why they did it."

I'm the co-founder and co-owner of Dirt King Fabrication. I started this company because I'm a genuine off road enthusiast and every employee we've hired since has the same beliefs. Right now is a tough time for all of us with the corona virus. I'm doing everything possible to keep our employees working and keep their position secured for the next few months. During this time we greatly appreciate your business, you support, and respect for our business. As for our product line we only make products that we believe in and have a competitive advantage compared to other manufactures products. We offer these products at a fair price, great quality, and 100% made in USA. Our sales reps are not commission based so they have no incentive to sell you products you don't need and is no disadvantage to them to spend some extra time on the phone answering questions. To the best of my knowledge none of our competitors do all of these things. I have no problem with you guys asking questions about our products, and in fact encourage it if something is unclear. I'm rarely on Tacoma world but fortunately @Unchained 5150 notified us to address this issue. My time is very valuable but don't hesitate to email me personally if you have any questions! dustin@dirtkingfabrication.com

I really don't see what all the noise is about an aluminum skid plate covering fully boxed, all steel lower control arms. These things are 10,000 times tougher than stock and the skid plate is just that, an aluminum skid plate. It's just an added layer of protection over what's already there similar to the all aluminum TRD skid plate that covers an all steel truck frame that some of these trucks had on them. They are meant to get beat up while providing some small form of protection to what's under it from taking the brunt of it... A serious wheeler will kill these the moment they roll out on a trip, but hey it beats banging up the actual control arm immediately right?

I like Dirt Kings stuff and do not see the "gimmick" factor that anyone else might be claiming about the skid plates they add on for literally no extra cost over what you would be paying for some gen. 1 lowers 5 years ago. The fact they have not ramped up pricing for their stuff leaves something to be said as well about the company.

    Proceed as you see fit.

I think if you click "share" you can get a URL to it. Or that little v carrot in the upper right. That may give you that option.

Edit: Click "share" then "copy link"

I bought a monthly car wash subscription. For me it's $30/mo and I can go every day. It's the "premium" that runs the jets underneath, wax, dry, etc.

Subscribe thru winter and it'll keep things in good shape.
