4.88’s, or so I’ve been told. I’ve driven an auto with 4.56 and I would want 4.88’s myself. But I still can’t afford to buy the gear set I want right now.

Was the truck you drove on 4.56 fully armored up ?

Called them directly for advice and they also recommended 4.88 with my tire size and added weight with armor, sliders, skids, camper, etc.

4.56 if I just had 35s with no additional weight added to the truck.

I have 4.56 with auto tranny with skids, sliders, Bumpers etc on 285’s and wish i went 4.88. Its fine now but 4.88 may have been a bit better.

I just had mine redone with 4.88s. With 285s in anticipation of 315s. Full armor and it drives great in town. Only downside is highway RPM, but I don’t to that often. Makes me wonder if I’ll lose much of the ‘pep’ when I get 315s. It’s pretty well balanced for 4.88s with 33s given the weight. I would have thought I’d be over geared but surprisingly good for an around town DD.

As I mentioned in my reply, you catch more flies with honey and perhaps their choice of words leaves something to be desired. But 1A applies in this instance.

Getting closer to no logs laying around. Lots of hard work to stay fit and healthy during this period.

I officially have a least favorite tool.

Dear angle grinder with steel wire wheel, go fuck yourself!

Took a fair share of those steel wires flying off and hitting me in various places. The most fun was directly up my right nostril.

I may invest in a face shield finally...

more work work work getting done:

Can only imagine the preacher like tone with severe hostility in distributing chosen words most don't use regularly.

What is your cruising rpms at when going 65-70mph ? 2500 ? Also, whats your current mpg on 33s ?

Who did the install work? If you didn't do it yourself. I just placed my order for assembled units from ECGS, with that part taken care of might just tackle the install myself if its too expensive to have a shop do it.

In a manual but loving the 4.88s too. I'm somewhere near 3.5k rpm at 80 mph.

I am definitely worried I'll lose some of that pep when I move to 315s

My angler grinder got me good a few years ago. Like almost cut through a tendon type of good.
