My latest upgrade is a spilled a beer... was cleaning out the back in the driveway and well... I’m sure you can guess what happened. Although I did notice an increase in HP on the way to get carpet cleaner.

Haha. Yes, it lights up blue led. My mom, who passed this month at 90, gave that to me YEARS ago. It's been in every car I've owned since.

    It's gad dang snowing.

My RAM mount and arm showed up today, can't do much with it until the DMM gets here next week (hopefully) but sure does seem solid! Be nice to know what the rubber thing and the glue are for, but hey... anyone wants to send me free glue, I guess I'll just accept my free glue.

Installed a GMRS radio and integrated the plug into the dash. Just need to get the flush screws.

some people are adding a marine high amperage cut off switch at the battery on the positive side. There are several ways of doing this. Some think it is unnecessary but, I come from industry and any machinery I am around has an e-stop or a kill switch of some sort. I like the idea that the winch is only going to be energized when it is ready to be used and I can kill it if something goes wrong. Here is the switch I bought. It’s from blue sea systems.

Cool thanks. I also like the idea of being able to kill the power to the winch if something goes wrong, but I'm also trying to limit how much I need to open my hood. Maybe that's unavoidable with our trucks, but I was hoping to find a bumper with access holes so I could manage the winch through those without ever having to pop the hood. If I can make that happen, maybe I can mount a switch like the one you posted somewhere I can reach it from those access holes as well.

@MountainManGuy the SSO slimline with access holes does a pretty great job of this. I love mine! Never had to lift my hood to use it. That being said there’s a ton of great options. 252E5266-4DF7-4A6A-B335-3B67D1BE37D2.jpg

I personally wanted the opposite - a bumper with no cutouts so that it matched the "stock" bumper, and was secure enough to keep someone from free-spooling my winch to steal the rope... :notsure: I'll grab the snatch strap if I need to pull someone out in a hurry...:ohsnap:
