aha I never said it was a good idea. Just an idea.

Q1 won't be bad outside of airlines and cruise lines. Q2 is going to be all jacked up.

Yeah, but wait until 2 months from now when everything is back up to 2019 levels and you're out a bunch of earnings :D (or we're down way more, whatever, flip a coin at this point)

You' all need to copy some of your comments and paste them into a future calendar date. It would be need to see how right or wrong you were.

That's why I always say it can go either way

But in the very long term, it will recover.

    I can't be wrong!

When my MIL was in a nursing home they had a big sign in the lobby / outside the dining room.

"Today is Thursday!" and other pertinent details.

I've considered doing something similar. LOL

I just had a whole conversation with a customer. The entire time I was talking about tomorrow and being able to work on stuff at the plant. Tomorrow. Near the end I had to backtrack and own up that I thought it was Thursday. She laughed and said so did she. So Monday it is.

You’re the opposite of us. We thought Thursday was Friday, you thought Friday was Thursday. It won’t even matter anymore if this quarantine lasts much longer.

My order for sqqq was not hit yesterday . I did buy 1k shares today at a higher than at the thurs close . This is my first time actually betting the markets go down . Up until today I have just been in cash when I felt they would go down while waiting to buy low so thanks for getting me to look outside of my box. . I vowed to never sell shares short because there is no bottom , this strategy at least has a bottom . I still think there will be a retest of the lows so this trade may only last a day or two .
Did you hold your sqqq and the the others today ?

I appreciate your insights. Played with a bit of SQQQ and SRTY yesterday to today. Made a bit of whiskey money from it.
    Thanks.

I'm betting next quarter earnings won't be so bad. Definitely lower for damn sure, but probably still there since most companies aren't buying much of anything AND aren't spending anything either. +labor costs going wayy down for every company laying off employees or putting them on furlough

So what happened this afternoon in 3-4pm timeframe to make the markets tank at the end of the day? Everything was climbing back up when I left the house to take the boat out fishing. I got home and the markets had bottomed out again. I didn't even get a bite fishing, but I had a couple of Yuenglings in the boat.

Could the rise today simply have been driven by day traders? And then all get out before the weekend in the last hour?

A lot of companies have changed their guidance too so earnings can easily be met

Nobody wants to hold over the weekend. That's 2 whole days for everything to go to shit instead of 16 hours.
