That the Pros can't meet the F3 spec (which the Sports do) and only the arguably ancient F spec (which has significantly less stringent out-of-beam requirements), in combination with the much larger emitter size of the Pros and that the lenses are shared, suggests that the Sports do, in fact, have less "stray" light and likely a sharper cutoff.

This was confirmed by direct comparison

These are my DD ss3 Pro fogs and BD Sports in driving combo mounted behind the bumper.

Really happy with this setup through trial and error. Had the Rigid D series SAE in prior and these DD’s are the best yet.

Like previously stated they do have to be aimed properly... learned that quickly on the first drive with them.

Since then no issues with other drivers. Use the fogs on the road all the time and the Baja’s on backroads.

Awesome job! Can you post a pic or two on the behind the grill mount?

The fogs look great, but it doesn't appear the BD Sports add much beyond what the fogs provide, is it better in person or in-line with what the pics show?

Your right the pictures don’t help the Baja’s case much. Honestly the do provide a bit of light down the road but nothing compared to the DD pro’s. Might replace them down the road.

I don’t have any good pictures with me, I’m currently away from home for work. But they are installed on a bracket that is attached to the bumper just where the bottom of the grille sits in. I’ll post better pics later

Is that a factory bracket for something else behind the bumper or is it custom?

Awesome!! Thanks bro. I love the look of that. I would love to do it with DDSS3 fogs and DD driving pods for my '10.

Does anyone know how to aim the ss3 pros on a 3rd gen? I'm getting a pair and want to make sure I set them up right from the start. I don't know aim foglights in general or light for that matter lol

The easiest way will be to install one at a time, then aim the light cut off to match the cut off of your existing OEM halogen fog. I'd suggest tightening the mounts so they are very snug, but so that you can still move the light with sufficient force when mounted, as that makes aiming super simple. Then install the other light and aim the cut off to match the first one.

BTW you are super local. :)

I've got a 2016 SR5 and I just ordered some GE megalight ultra +130 for my low beams. Any compelling reason not to pop an extra set of those suckers in the fog light housing?

Diode Dynamics SAE fog is the 'BE-ALL, END-ALL' SAE fog to date.

that's all you need to know aside from aiming them properly.

    end of thread.

The GE Megalights +130 won't fit an 3rd Gen SR5 fog, those fogs take H16 bulbs which are very low output. If you swapped to a TRD Sport/OR H11 fog assembly then yes they would be a good upgrade option.
