Man we need some muddy trails locally. Driving it on pavement just felt so pointless.

Happy Friday at last.

 

Week 2 of home schooling almost done. After 2 day I realized I dont have the patience to be a teacher.

 

Anybody know of any off road trails in CT? Shenipshit State forest in Somers has a few trails for vehicles that lead up to the look out tower but are closed in the winter months. Looking to get out locally with the kids if anybody knows of some other trails/ fire roads. Thanks.

 

My wife started setting up her Google Classroom this week. Needless to say she's freaking the fuck out.

My son, since he goes to school in a different town then where my wife teaches, he started doing online learning this week through his teacher's Google Classroom.

Crazy times are upon us for sure.

Dont forget to "view details " on the bottom of each google classroom. Sometimes they will create a google doc and attach it to the lesson to show work.

Does this mean all the teachers are going to send us a dunkin gift card at the end of the year?

Shit show of a day today...

Company wide call in meeting today. Going to a 4 day work week because of the economy, starting 4/6 through June. Management staying at 5 days but taking pay cut, supposedly.

Call in meetings this afternoon with department's supervisor, and step in supervisor since mine is on medical leave for 3 weeks.

Fun times... fun times.

But hey, at least I still have a job... for now.

 

I must have lucked out with mine. Shes frugal and sure as hell wouldn't want perfume that expensive. Shes so much smarter than I am when it comes to finances.

 

Went out to Lyman orchards today to enjoy the nice weather and get some driving time In. They had a lot of fresh stuff with not to many people. Grabbed some produce, some cheeses, and of course we got a pie.
They count as a grocery store so you can drive there and use the receipt as proof if you get pulled over

Go support local business instead of big stores.

 

I usually get away with that but I got in hot water last summer..while knowing we were going vehicle shopping for her, I bought a ticket to see The Misfits in NYC that October. Ticket was $160 plus the cost of a hotel and train..my sister "said" she could hook up a cheap room, but yeah I should have known better. UGH..at least I got to go see the concert.

Same. Mine can't wear perfume anyway...but in general won't spend $10 on herself, not into bags or shoes either. I'm definitely the "girl" in my marriage

 

Sounds like you're getting what you've been wanting. Less work insanity, more "your life" time.
and you'll probably even qualify for unemployment for the lost day - or are they just making the 4 days last longer?
