Notice here that the Certification ECU handles the power to the relay coils you're having issues with...

Dude thanks a lot! I definitely appreciate the help from you, I’ll take your advice and try a relay first.

so just by doing a continuity test the relay doesn’t seem to be shorted across, its reading the same as the relays next to it. Do by any chance you have the relay diagram for these?

and the next question is since that certification ecu is what controls these is it possible that’s what failed.

Didju check resistance? See if the coils were bad in the relay?

Probably not a good idea since I don’t know which pins of the relay are what.

OP, when you removed the fuse (5A MPX-B) the vehicle "returned" to all good?

yes other than I’d would say that also powers the smart key system so that wasn’t working but if I put the key up to the start button then the truck would run and everything all good. Instrument cluster is still behaving different even with that fuse pulled. Sometimes I’d heard that click like you normally would when the truck fully shuts off, but then the odo would appear back on the screen..

Okay so that confirms that MPX-B powers the certification ecu, certification also controls smart key which was lost when mpx-b was unplugged so that makes sense. I’m going with a bad certification ecu.

So just buy doing a google search on mpx-b, a lot of Toyota vehicles have problem with that system. In a Lexus it controls the tilt steering and power windows, in think it was a Yaris I read it controls the hatch, so basically for them it was killing their battery because mpx-b was remaining constantly powered. I’m gonna put mine back together and see if that’s the same case for me.

looks like these certification ecu’s are known to fail, in fact if you google search the part number 89221-04050 you’ll find @jardoo was looking for one in February although he never mentioned why and @Skydvrr was trying to help him find one; and someone else posted that amayama no longer carries them so looks like I can’t get one there.

If I had to take a guess at what fried it, it’s probably the load from all my add ons. Had a crux AV box, Super Nintendo, and iPhone being powered through it. I think I’ll set everything up on a relay box directly off the battery and stay away from the oem electronics.

that’s what I got, I modded it for gameboy colour and gameboy advanced games, as well as N64 but they’re a little to much for it to handle. The game boy games are awesome to play through the JBL head unit though, I no longer care about long drive through line ups or waiting for a friend somewhere, I just game out hahaha.

LOL donkey Kong country was the first game I played start to finish. Downloaded donkey Kong country 2 and 3 shortly after. All the roms are free and and easy to download; kinda makes it hard to play the Xbox that I pay for and subscribe to online service with.
