Tried searching online, but didnt have any luck. I was pretty much set on the ST Maxx, but read good reviews about the KO2's and wondering how they compare. Looking for feedback from people that have experience with both and which is preferred. I am currently on my 3rd set of BFG KO's and have been reading that tbe KO2's are a big improvement over them.

Tougher, better grip, and they look way cooler.

I’ve run KO2 for years on multiple vehicle, yet I keep getting drawn to the ST Maxx so I am interested in your opinion too.

I have run the BFG's on 2 Ford Rangers, A Ford F150 and a Dodge Dakota and Loved them. I tried them on my Tacoma for about 18,000 to 19,000 miles and had the first set warrantied out because they wouldn't balance for more then a few weeks and then I was right back at Discount having them rebalanced to do it over again in a few weeks. So the first set came off. The second set wasn't as bad but wasn't great. After putting 20,000 miles on them they had to go. I put the ST MAXX ON my Xterra in the 10 Ply and the rode Great. So in the same week the BFG's came off the Tacoma and on went the ST MAXX also in the 10 Ply and I couldn't be happier.

I'm torn between the S/T MAXX and the KM3's.

These are comparable, not the KO2.

    MTR's as well.

It think the The ST maxx is a close comparable tire to the KO2 since they both have 3 ply sidewalls and similar tread pattern void.

The Cooper STT Pro would be the tire to compare to a BFG KM3 and Goodyear MTR since they are all Mud Tires.

It's great to hear more about the Dick Cepek EXP. I guess it makes sense that the Dick Cepek's are more comfortable since they are a 2ply sidewall and are less stiff. The KO2 and ST maxx are both 3 ply sidewalls. I know that cooopers 2 ply sidewalls are super strong too.

144 watt led lights on front 36 watts x2 led on the back, cb, Kenwood ham, icon 3" lift, 285/75/16 Fierce Attitude tires, JoeZilla sliders, 4x innovation rear bumper, ARB front bumper. Snorkel. On the workbench: more stuff I can't afford.
Consider fierce attitude? I'm on my 2nd set. Got a solid 65k out of my 1st set (traded for a winch, had about 10/32 left) , hitting 50k on this set with lots of tread left (about 14/32) . 10 ply. I like them.
Also, I have copper atp3 on my 4runner aaaaaand they're great.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I have 315 stmaxxs. This is my second set of them (first set was 255 85 16) on this truck. Lets say in ice, mud, rock, and snow, also driving 35 miles each way from work, I havent found any real reason to switch. They work, and as long as they make them in a size I need, ill keep buying them

How many miles did you get out of your 255/85R16's?
